‘Homestead: The Series’ Renewed for Season 2 at Angel Studios (Exclusive)

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that my favorite series, “Homestead: The Series,” will be returning for a second season! Thanks to Angel Studios, I can now look forward to seeing how the story unfolds even further. And here’s some fantastic news – this means that we’ll finally get to see the conclusion of season one as well. Hats off to “The Hollywood Reporter” for breaking the news!

The television series titled “Homestead: The Series” is a follow-up to the film called “Homestead“. In this series, actors such as Bailey Chase from “Longmire“, Charles Esten known for his role in “Nashville“, Dawn Oliveri who has been seen in “1883“, Jill Wagner starring in “Lioness“, and Jesse Hutch recognized from “Freddy vs. Jason” are featured.

Homestead has spellbound viewers globally with its daring and inspiring portrayal within the post-apocalyptic genre,” said Jordan Harmon, Angel’s president, to The Hollywood Reporter. “Our exceptional cast, propelled by the steadfast backing of our Angel Guild, not only enabled us to commence season one but also sealed an early approval for season two, ensuring fans can revisit the narrative earlier than ever.

Hey there fellow gamers! I’ve got an update on my favorite series, “Homestead: The Series.” We were cruising through season one, but a massive snowstorm in Utah put a halt on production. It was such a blow that we had to restart our fundraising efforts with the Angel Guild from zero. But don’t worry, we’re back at it this summer! The remaining episodes of season one are scheduled for release towards the end of 2025 on the Angel Studios website and app. The first two episodes were made available on December 20, 2024, the same day as the theatrical film release of “Homestead.” So keep an eye out, fellow gamers! Our adventure continues!

The second season of “Homestead: The Series” will carry on, focusing on the inhabitants of the main Homestead as they confront fresh dangers, internal disputes, and their ongoing effort to restore order in a broken world. This series is helmed by director Ben Smallbone and produced by Ben Kasica and Andrea Royer.

Kasica stated that the final parts of seasons one and two delve further into the consequences, as the Homestead evolves from a survivalist fortress into the vulnerable core of a nascent civilization. Here, optimism clashes with the specter of conflict, and the decision to govern may risk everything.

The film “Homestead” is inspired by Jeff Kirkham and Jason Ross’s book series, titled “Black Autumn.” The narrative revolves around ex-Green Beret, Jeff Eriksson (played as Chase), who guides his family to a secure survivalist community following a nuclear explosion in Los Angeles. This event sends the country into turmoil. In its debut weekend, “Homestead” earned $6 million and went on to gross over $20 million at the domestic box office.

We’re delighted to reintroduce Homestead for another round! The tale’s core is in its characters and their quest for hope amidst turmoil. With Bailey and Charles at the helm, we can’t wait to delve deeper into their narratives and uncover fresh aspects of the world they’re determined to save.
