According to industry sources, it ranks among the costliest comedies ever produced in Indian cinema.

In light of varying opinions about the comedic adventure, let’s explore the plotline and conclusion. Given that Housefull 5 has hit the screens in two distinct editions – Housefull 5A and Housefull 5B – this write-up aims to clarify all events that unfolded in the initial version for your better understanding.

Housefull 5A Story

In Housefull 5’s A version, we focus on Ranjeet Dobriyal, a man boasting a net worth of 69 billion pounds. Notably, he passes away naturally just one day prior to his 100th birthday celebration, marking the start of pandemonium. Interestingly, his stepson, Dev (portrayed by Fardeen Khan), decides to conceal the sad event in order to maintain the festive mood.

As events continue unfolding smoothly, a hologram of Ranjeet introduces an unexpected turn in the narrative. It discloses that his empire and wealth will be inherited by his eldest son (Jolly) from his first wife, sparking what becomes known as the ‘Jolly’ game.

In this new scenario, Riteish Deshmukh plays Jalabuddin (Jolly 1), Abhishek Bachchan is Jalbhushan (Jolly 2), and Akshay Kumar takes on the role of Julius (Jolly 3). All three characters are eager to prove they’re the true Jolly in order to claim Ranjeet’s fortune. To settle the matter, Dev organizes a DNA test for the trio on an extravagant cruise ship. Despite knowing that none of them is Ranjeet’s biological son, all join in the competition for the monetary rewards.

Housefull 5A Ending Explained: Spoiler Alert

As the plot unfolds, Aakhri Pasta secretly drugs Batuk Patel’s drink, but later on, during the deck party, it’s actually the Jollys who end up drinking it. That’s why they can’t remember anything from the previous night when they wake up.

At night, Dev attempts to manipulate the DNA of the trio known as the Jollys, with the intention of seizing Ranjeet’s fortune for himself and denying it to the Jollys. However, the doctor catches him in the act. To prevent being discovered, Dev forces some peanut butter biscuits into the doctor’s mouth, knowing the doctor has an allergy to them. But it’s Jolly 3 (Akshay Kumar) who comes to the doctor’s rescue with an injection. After Jolly 3 leaves, Dev ends up murdering the doctor by stabbing him, but Captain Sameer (played by Nikitin Dheer), notices Dev committing the crime on board the ship.

As an over-the-top fan, I can hardly contain my excitement as the Jolly crew – Sonam Bajwa, Jacqueline Fernandes, and Nargis Fakhri – find themselves in the hot seat of suspicion! Even Ranjeet’s team, comprising Maya (Chitrangada Singh), Bedi (Dino Morea), Shiraz (Shreyas Talpade), Lucy (Soundarya Sharma), Batuk Patel (Johnny Lever), and others, aren’t off the hook either. The suspense thickens as expelled London cops Bhidu (Sanjay Dutt) and Baba (Jackie Shroff) board the cruise to delve into the mystery!

One of those individuals is Sameer (Nikitin Dheer), who is likewise a person of interest in the homicide investigation. Given this predicament, he was anxious about restoring his reputation, which is why he found it difficult to be entirely honest with others.

Lastly, Dev teams up with Jolly 1 to kill Captain Sameer. This reveals Dev as the murderer.
