In the sequel of Housefull 5, we find Ranjeet Dobriyal, a tycoon worth an astonishing 69 billion pounds. On the eve of his 100th birthday celebration, this wealthy man meets a natural end. However, unbeknownst to many, he has already passed away. His stepson Dev (portrayed by Fardeen Khan) concocts a scheme to keep Ranjeet’s death hidden and allow the festivities to continue as planned. But, in an unexpected twist, a hologram of Ranjeet surfaces, causing even more chaos and excitement.

Discussing the inheritor of his empire and fortune, he reveals that his eldest son from his initial marriage, named Jolly, will receive everything – the wealth as well as the empire, thus initiating what is known as the ‘Jolly’ succession.

In this story, Riteish Deshmukh plays Jalabuddin (also known as Jolly 1), Abhishek Bachchan is Jalbhushan (Jolly 2), and Akshay Kumar takes on the role of Julius (Jolly 3). Each one of them strives hard to prove they’re the genuine Jolly. To clear things up, Dev proposes a DNA test for the three possible Jollys while they’re enjoying a luxurious cruise. Although they all understand that they are not Ranjeet’s biological son, their eagerness for the massive reward leads them to accept the DNA test.

Housefull 5B Ending Explained: Spoiler Alert

Once DNA samples have been gathered, a wild party ensues. Aakhri Pasta (Chunky Panday) laces Batuk Patel’s (Johnny Lever) drink, but it turns out that Jollys accidentally consume it instead. Consequently, when they awaken the next day, they cannot recall the events of the previous night.

During that very night, a member of Ranjeet’s team named Maya (portrayed by Chitrangda) attempted to manipulate the DNA of the three Jollys in order to secure the money she desperately desired. However, Amar Joshi, the doctor, discovered her in the act. To prevent him from disclosing this secret, Maya put peanut butter biscuits into Dr. Joshi’s mouth, as it was later found that he had an allergy to these biscuits.

Yet, character Akshay Kumar, known as Jolly 3, appeared at the location and administered an injection to revive the physician. However, Maya, in a shocking turn of events, fatally stabbed the doctor after Jolly 3 had departed. But here’s the twist: The ship’s commander, Sameer (portrayed by Nikitin Dheer), witnessed Maya committing the murder.

The murder casts a shadow of suspicion over the Jollys and their companions as well. In addition to them, Dev and other colleagues of Ranjeet’s team find themselves in the hot seat as prime suspects. Upon the doctor’s death, detectives Bhidu (Sanjay Dutt) and Baba (Jackie Shroff) board the cruise for investigation purposes. Regarding Sameer, who is one of the suspects himself, he yearns to prove his innocence to others.

As the tale unfolds, Maya joins forces with character Jolly 2 in a bid to eliminate Captain Sameer. In the end, it’s Maya who is unmasked as the murderer. Her motive was to acquire funds to clear her outstanding financial obligations.
