As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that Black Myth: Wukong has truly caught my attention. The intricate system of Stances in this game is nothing short of fascinating!
As the Destined One, Stances help you in your Black Myth: Wukong journey.
They provide various new offensive and defensive abilities to enhance your combat skills.
Instead of always adhering to a single perspective, being adaptable by changing your viewpoint depending on the circumstances can help you avoid numerous complications.
As a seasoned gamer, I can tell you that this game offers an exciting feature – stances. Each stance comes with its unique set of offensive and defensive capabilities. But here’s the kicker, for each stance, there are skill trees waiting to be explored! These trees can be upgraded, enhancing your character even further, making them a force to reckon with in the game world.
Read on to learn how to change stances in Black Myth: Wukong.
How Many Stances Are There & How to Unlock Them?
In your journey as the Destined One, you start with one stance initially—the Smash Stance.
However, there are three other you should be aware of:
- The Pillar Stance
- The Thrust Stance
- The Wukong Stance
The Wukong Stance is not relevant at the stage you’re currently in, so we will ignore it in this article. Regarding the other two stances, however, you can not switch to or unlock them until you’ve reached a particular level in the game.
- For the Pillar Stance, you must reach Level 5
- For the Thrust Stance, you must reach Level 20.
Once you’ve made these advancements, navigate your way to the “Personal Growth” Tab. In the “Postures” area, employ your sparks to uncover a fresh posture.
What Does Each Stance Do?
For each position, there’s a developmental pathway called the Skill Tree that you can enhance as you advance. However, to level up these skills, you need to use Sparks.
In the initial phase of the game, don’t let concerns about other aspects trouble you just yet. Instead, focus on understanding the Heavy Attacks associated with each Stance for now.
- In Smash Stance, the Destined One jumps into the air to come blazing down with a devastating short-range offense.
- In the Pillar Stance, the Destined One blends defensive and offensive strategies. Here, your character will settle on top of his staff to avoid the enemies’ melee attacks (for defense) before countering them with a long-range offense.
- In the Thrust Stance, the Destined One charges forward with a powerful thrust to deal significant damage to the enemy.
How to Switch Stances in Black Myth: Wukong?
If you’ve only unlocked the Smash Stance for now, you can’t switch.
After you’ve successfully opened up either, or even both of the stances (Pillar and Thrust), proceed with the following instructions:
