How to complete Hunting the Werewolf in Kingdom Come 2

In the region of Bohemia, if sheep start disappearing, it’s likely wolves are responsible. However, suppose there’s something eerily supernatural at play. In that case, that’s the premise behind “Hunting the Werewolf,” an optional mission in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. But to embark on this quest, you’ll need to put in some effort first.

To access “Hunting the Werewolf”, you will first have to accomplish a set of tasks. Begin by finishing the side missions related to acquiring Mutt. Completing these missions will lead you to encounter Herdsboy Siegfried, who will initiate the chain of events that ultimately leads Henry on his werewolf hunting quest.

Complete these tasks to unlock Hunting the Werewolf:

  • Find Mutt
  • Return to Siegfried and complete his activity, Sheep Among Wolves
  • Speak to Shepherd Smoliek and complete The Lost Sheep
  • Go to Shepherd Stanislav and finish Carrot on a Stick

If accessible, you’ll find the Sheep Among Wolves task represented by a red shield with an orange star situated slightly north of Tachov within the Trosky region. Should it not appear on your map immediately, please be patient as it should become available following several in-game days. If not, continue playing and look out for the marker’s appearance.

Have a chat with Siegfried and finish the quest named ‘Sheep Among Wolves’. Following this, he will share information about two more shepherds requiring assistance with their wolf issue. These characters will then be displayed on your map using the same distinctive red icon.

Once I wrap up this last mission, you’ll fill me in about a fellow named Herdsboy Natan who tends sheep close to Semine. Turns out, he’s got Henry’s knack for wolf hunting too! Keep your eyes peeled for the red shield symbol, it’s situated northwest of Semine, but south of Zhelejov.

Natan is usually spotted relaxing on a bench, shaded by a grand old tree, keeping an eye on his sheep. If you were to engage in conversation with him, a suitable phrase could be: “I’ve heard that you might require assistance.

Indeed, it seems Natan has been experiencing a significant loss of sheep lately. I suspect wolves might be back in the picture, but Natan thinks it could be something more sinister. When the last sheep vanished, all Natan found was a pool of blood, a severed ear, and no wolf tracks. This leads me to believe that we’re dealing with a werewolf! If you need help, I’ll do my best to lend a hand – channeling my inner witcher to get the job done!

Where to find the werewolf in Kingdom Come 2

Open up your map and head toward the quest icon, down the road to the west.

At the fork in the path, you’ll find a small tree with an arrow protruding from it and a puddle of blood beneath it.

To accomplish the initial quest goal, retrieve the “Arrow with Blood and Splinters” lodged in the tree. Now, it’s time to hunt for the lost sheep. You have two options: let Mutt track the creature by having him smell the arrow or follow the blood trail leading into the woods.

Regardless of your choice, you’ll ultimately discover, not a werewolf, but a bandit camp concealed within the woods on the northernmost path.

As a relentless seeker of justice for the innocent sheep, I find myself at a crossroads. Two paths lie before me: the path of stealth, where I slip in unnoticed to gather evidence against the ruthless killers, or the path of confrontation, where I take on the bandits head-on. The reward for my actions varies based on the choice I make.

If you choose to slip in undetected, bide your time until the solitary guard moves away from the camp towards the bottom of the hill. Be mindful that another outlaw is napping beneath a tent, so keep a low profile to avoid waking them.

Regardless of your approach, it’s essential to inspect the sheep bones on that rock to positively identify the culprits responsible for the sheep’s death.

Return to Natan with your findings. He’ll reward you based on how you dealt with the bandits:

Kill the bandits reward:

  • Survival XP
  • Reputation
  • 25 Groschen
  • Schnapps
  • Weak Saviour Schnapps
  • 3 Bandages
  • Bread
  • 2 Cooked Onions
  • Even Die

Leave the bandits reward:

  • Survival XP
  • Reputation
  • 6 Groschen
  • Beer
  • Weak Chamomile Brew
  • Bandage
  • Apple
  • 2 Carrot

Choosing to eliminate the outlaws brings a more substantial reward, but it means Natan won’t be pleased that his petition led to the loss of three lives. If you had spared them instead, he would claim he intended to inform the Semine guard about the bandits. Regardless of your decision, Natan’s werewolf problems appear to have been resolved, at least temporarily.
