Full Storm walkthrough in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
When Katherine helps you leave prison, Jan Zizka is unable to travel, and Father Godwin must attend to a solo task. As Godwin is engrossed in his work and preoccupied elsewhere in the castle, your mission consists of two parts: Address Istvan and retrieve documents from Sigismund. The instructions from Sigismund as well as Istvan can be found in the Crone’s tower, located on the southwest side of Trosky Castle.
How to get to the Crone’s Tower in Kingdom Come 2
Before setting off, if you prefer a more aggressive tactic when encountering guards, consider picking up the armor pieces and military sword from the guard that Katherine killed earlier. Remember, this may not be the optimal strategy, but ultimately, the choice of gear you take with you before approaching the Crone’s tower is yours in Kingdom Come 2.
To bypass the courtyard since numerous guards are patrolling the castle grounds, a more suitable path to reach the other side of Trosky is to ascend to the second level of your current tower and traverse the walkway. Remember to use the dagger that Katherine gave you to deal with the guard inside the pantry who’s searching for wine.
Should you create any remains, discretely concealing them might prove beneficial. It’s likely that the guards could become suspicious and intensify their vigilance if they stumble upon deceased individuals that you may have left behind. This would make the continuation of your mission significantly more challenging.
At the halfway mark above the courtyard, a brief cutscene unfolds. Once it ends, you can continue on the left path. The right path will lead you to a patrolling guard. Approaching from there allows entry into the Crone’s tower.
In the old witch’s tower, there are additional sentries who might spot you as you move stealthily. Upon entering, your primary objective should be to locate the orders which you can find before confronting Istvan. But when you ascend the stairs to search for the orders in the Scribe’s chamber, a couple of guards are lounging at a central table enjoying drinks. If you remain patient, one guard stays put at the table while the other eventually goes up the stairs. When it’s safe, handle the guard at the table and conceal the corpse.
Following your interaction with the guard, make your way up the staircase and along the stone-paved corridor. There’s one more set of stairs before you reach the top, and the Scribe’s room is located on the left side. Fortunately, the room appears to be empty, allowing you to explore the assorted chests in search of the orders. Regrettably, the orders are not found within these chests, suggesting that they could have been hidden inside Istvan’s chambers. You’ll uncover them as you confront Istvan and retrieve your gear.
How to defeat Istvan in Kingdom Come 2
To reach Istvan’s chamber, continue along the pathway you’re already on, but instead of going downstairs, keep climbing higher within the tower. Unlike your previous visit during For Whom the Bell Tolls in Kingdom Come 2, when you stopped inside the surgeon’s room, this time, ascend the stairs and a cutscene unfolds with Istvan.
Afterward, you have several options regarding how to handle Istvan. You could engage in an unfair fight, propose a duel, or discuss things with him. If you opt for the latter, Istvan shares his reasons for aligning with Zizka, his beliefs about your similarities, and details of his past relationship with Erik.
In your interaction with Istvan, none of the responses seem to result in a tranquil resolution. Yet, there’s an option that may make things less burdensome for you. If you opt for the dishonorable path, a brief sequence will unfold where you stab and toss Istvan out a window. Alternatively, if you challenge him to a duel, you’ll have to engage him using your current equipment. Upon defeating him, a similar scene follows, except this time, you use a sword to push him out the window instead.
No matter what approach you take with Istvan in Kingdom Come 2, his tale concludes, and you gather everything you were aiming to get from his room. However, the orders will not be found there. Instead, you must rejoin your companions to check if Godwin managed to uncover any leads regarding the orders.
How to find Sigismund’s Orders in Kingdom Come 2
Instead of heading back to the prisons under the Maidan’s tower, your destination should be Otto von Bergow’s private quarters. These rooms are located on the third floor within the Maiden’s tower itself. You won’t encounter any guards en route, but you might find Godwin having trouble opening the door. The keys you retrieved from Istvan’s chambers can help you unlock it.
If you don’t locate the chest initially, Godwin will search through it secondly. It’s situated on the opposite side of the room, inside the chest that’s near Otto’s desk. You can chat with Godwin one more time to depart, and he’ll escort you back down to the prison where Katherine is expecting you. The narrative progression of the quest continues as you make your way under Trosky Castle in an effort to slip away undetected. However, upon reaching the end of the tunnel, several guards are patrolling the woods, trying to find you and Mika, who’s been acting as Katherine’s contact.
How to find Mika in Kingdom Come 2
In the next phase of your adventure within Kingdom Come 2, you’ll find yourself alone as you navigate through the forest, evading numerous guards pursuing you. Your objective is to travel due south and connect with Mika, a contact of Katherine who possesses horses that will aid in your escape. Remember to don your stealthy attire during this part of the quest, and considering the low light conditions, it may be beneficial to consume a Nighthawk potion to enhance your night vision.
In this part, slipping by the guards is less challenging compared to the castle. There’s more open ground for you to move around, and they rely solely on their torches to spot you. If you use a Nighthawk potion, your night vision will be enhanced significantly, allowing you to dodge past the guards undetected and reach Mika’s camp.
Unfortunately, Mika has been found by the guards searching for you and is currently tied up. You might want to slip past the soldier unnoticed and take care of him swiftly before freeing Mika. Once you both exchange a few words, he informs you that the horse and wagon aren’t too far, but with an injured man, you’ll need to wait until the guards finish searching for you in the woods. Your best course of action is to proceed south and inform them about the situation.
Finding the wagon in Kingdom Come 2
The act of moving south towards the wagon and locating Mika shares a resemblance, yet the number of soldiers obstructing your path to each destination is significantly different. To avoid the heavily guarded main road, you should choose a stealthier route. Specifically, conceal yourself near the eastern rocky terrain and slip through the forest. Along this path, there might be a few soldiers to neutralize, but they are more densely packed, making it harder to take them down compared to the scattered ones elsewhere.
As you navigate among the rocks, you’ll come across a damaged cart by the roadside. Henry mentions that from here, you must ascend the hill, confirming you’re on the right path. Then, proceed due south until you hit the outskirts of Apollonia. This journey will be challenging due to numerous soldiers guarding the woods, but if you stay low and keep your Nighthawk potion handy for evasion, you can avoid surprises without encountering unexpected difficulties.
As you arrive at the southern route, a scene unfolds and the mission concludes. Prepare yourself for some cinematic moments, but know that you’ll eventually find yourself in Kuttenberg, the latest region introduced in Kingdom Come 2, where the upcoming main quest awaits you.
