How to Get a Gun in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

In the sequel of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, players are offered a variety of weapon choices, encompassing both melee combat and ranged options. The long-range weaponry comprises bows, crossbows, and firearms, referred to as handgonnes in the medieval role-playing game setting.

In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, players must progress through a significant portion of the initial act before they are granted access to firearms. Once obtained, these weapons prove formidable when skillfully wielded; however, mastery requires learning proper handling techniques. For those eager to employ them, this guide provides instructions on acquiring guns and utilizing them effectively in the game.

How to Get a Gun in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

In the game “Finger of God”, Henry initially acquires firearms. However, prior to this, he has an opportunity to learn about gunpowder through a sub-quest named “Opus Magnum” in the district of Lower Semine, where he can gain knowledge from the Miller.

Initially in their adventure, players encounter Godwin at Nebakov where they learn the art of handling handgonnes from one of the town’s rougher residents. Godwin and Hertel demonstrate for Henry an intriguing device called a pistole, which is essentially an early form of a handgun that fires lead balls with gunpowder.

In the exciting world of KCD2, here’s how I, as a gamer, learned to handle a pistol: First off, Hertel gave me a brief run-through on using this tricky piece. After that, Godwin and I were ready to give it a spin. This pistol isn’t the easiest to aim or load quickly, but boy, when it hits, the impact is substantial! Here are some tips for managing firearms in KCD2:

1. Aim carefully: The pistol isn’t the most accurate weapon, so take your time lining up shots.
2. Load wisely: Reloading takes a moment, so only do it when necessary or in between battles.
3. Watch out for recoil: After firing, the pistol kicks back, making follow-up shots more challenging. Practice to minimize this effect.
4. Deal heavy damage: When you land a shot with the pistol, your targets will feel the sting!
5. Use it tactically: Since it’s not ideal for long range or rapid fire, use the pistol when the situation calls for precise, powerful shots.

  1. Equip the handgonne from the inventory
  2. Load the weapon by holding down right-click. This will take several seconds, so be careful using guns in fast combat.
  3. Aim the weapon by holding down right-click. Aiming drains significant stamina and gets harder the lower Henry’s stamina bar gets.
  4. Left-click to shoot.

After wrapping up our aiming practice, ol’ Hertel’s gonna hook me up with a hand cannon and twenty lead balls, all on the house!

Where to Buy Guns in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

In the immersive world of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, technology has taken a leap, particularly when it comes to weaponry. Unfortunately for me as a player, I can’t just buy guns from any old merchant. Instead, I find myself venturing to the bustling town of Kuttenberg, on a quest to acquire more handgonnes and their necessary components.

In the game, Kuttenberg doesn’t appear until the second half, only showing up after Henry has passed a critical juncture in the main plot.

In east Kuttenberg, close to Caslavska Gate, Gunmaker Prokop Eldris offers various guns and ammunition for sale. The prices of these firearms vary between 200 and 1200 Groschen. Players can also craft their gunpowder through alchemy or acquire it as an option. Over time, the guns may degrade due to use, but they can be refurbished by visiting Gunmaker Prokop Eldris or with a gunkit purchased from the shop, which Henry can utilize for repairs.
