In the Monster Hunter Wilds game, Dash Juice – a long-standing item from the Monster Hunter series – comes back. This item is incredibly handy, and if you’re missing out on crafting and utilizing it, here’s a guide to help rectify that.
How to craft Dash Juice in Monster Hunter Wilds
In the game Monster Hunter Wilds, Dash Juice is a special item that enhances your Stamina in a unique way, not by increasing its amount, but by improving its quality. When you drink Dash Juice, it restores some of your Stamina and momentarily lessens the overall Stamina loss when performing actions like dodging or running.
To make Dash Juice, you’ll need two essential components that aren’t too unusual to use. These are the Catalyst and the Dash Concentrate. Here’s a simple guide on how to acquire them.
How to get Catalyst
In this game, the Catalyst is formed by gathering two resources: Bitterbug and Honey, which you can effortlessly pick up as you traverse. These resources are ‘alive’, making the Scarlet Forest an ideal spot to find and harvest them, as it’s abundant with both. If you’re just starting out, you’ll need to collect these resources yourself. On your map, Bitterbug appears as a blue beetle, while Honey is represented by a brown honeycomb symbol.
Move to each symbol and engage to gather resources into your Inventory Pouch. Once you have at least one Bitterbug Broth (which is made from Bitterbug naturally) and one Honey, navigate to your Crafting Menu and locate the ninth entry. If it shows a series of question marks for you, it indicates that you haven’t crafted Catalyst yet. In such a case, click on the ‘?’ prompt and verify the creation to produce your first one.
How to get Dash Extract
You might discover that this material isn’t as readily available, but I’ll guide you on how to get it. Dash Extract can be acquired in two distinct manners, with one offering more control to the player. The simplest method involves directly obtaining it from its source, which in this scenario is a Gypceros.
Gypceros is a monster that can only be encountered by players of higher rank. The Dash Extract from a Gypceros hunt is a relatively frequent reward for defeating this monster, but since it’s not an easily obtainable resource due to its high-rank status, gathering it will require some time and effort.
Another approach could be attempting to acquire the ‘Dash Extract’ via NPC Trade. Keep in mind that NPC trading can sometimes be unpredictable, which means success might not always be guaranteed. However, this method remains a possible solution.
Crafting Dash Juice
After obtaining at least one Catalyst and one Dash Extract, you can now initiate creating the desired Dash Juice. The process is straightforward. Navigate to your Crafting Menu, then find the 18th entry. If the name is shown as question marks, it signifies that you haven’t crafted this item yet. Similar to the catalyst, click on the ‘?????’ and confirm the craft. Successfully following these steps will allow you to create your inaugural Dash Juice consumable.
When should you use Dash Juice in Monster Hunter Wilds?
Dash Juice proves beneficial for any hunter who consumes it, but its usefulness varies based on the weapon you’re wielding. Notably, both Dual Blades and Bows have significant Stamina demands, making Dash Juice indispensable for them to perform optimally.
Dual Blade hunters are always on the move and frequently switch to Demon Mode to battle monsters. This can be quite taxing on their stamina, making the use of Dash Juice a significant relief when playing with Dual Blades, as it reduces the strain.
Users frequently exhaust their Stamina as they glide through the surroundings and leap over parts of the weapon’s wind-up phases. This technique can be very beneficial, but it’s important to note that Stamina becomes costly unless Dash Juice is activated.
I strongly recommend not using these weapons without the Dash Juice. It significantly improves gameplay for both, so consider it an essential item when playing either one.
