As someone who’s been a long-time fan of both Rocket League and Fortnite, I couldn’t believe my luck when I heard that the highly anticipated Tesla Cybertruck would be available as a free reward in both games. I’ve spent countless hours playing these games over the years, and the thought of adding this iconic vehicle to my collection was exhilarating!
Regardless of whether you’re a fan or critic of the Tesla Cybertruck’s design, you have the opportunity to access it for free in Fortnite and Rocket League.
During Fortnite’s Summer Road Trip event, players can finish a series of tasks to earn the distinctive car reward without spending any money. Alternatively, for those who enjoy Rocket League, there’s a more straightforward and faster method to acquire the car in Fortnite.
Certainly, the Cybertruck will be up for sale using V-Bucks at a later time, but I’ll explain in detail how to obtain it without spending any money first.
Unlocking the Tesla Cybertruck in Fortnite
To get the Tesla Cybertruck for free in Fortnite, you must finish each of the nine Summer Road Trip missions first. This might require some dedication and time investment from you in the coming days.
Based on my own experiences, I’ve come across challenges that unlock gradually over a period of time, with each new challenge becoming available only after a few days have passed. This means that if you want to complete the entire set of challenges before a certain date, such as July 31, you can’t just power through and finish them all at once. Instead, you’ll need to be patient and wait for each new challenge to become available. Having gone through similar situations in the past, I can attest that this approach requires some level of planning and foresight, as well as a willingness to accept that not everything in life can be accomplished right away. But trust me, taking your time and savoring the journey can make the experience all the more rewarding when you finally reach your goal.

The majority of the tasks given earlier require earning Experience Points (XP) in Creator Mode rather than the standard Battle Royale gameplay.
If you have a preferred Creator Mode that brings you a lot of XP, go ahead and stick with it. On the other hand, if you’re accustomed to Battle Royale gameplay, I suggest trying out Reload instead. Although it’s quite similar to Battle Royale, it offers a more compact experience.
After finishing all nine Summer Road Trip missions, you’ll gain access to the Tesla Cybertruck car body as part of an appealing bundle. This package comes with multiple decals, a new set of wheels, and the exhilarating “Beast Mode” enhancement.
From July 31 onwards, you will have a week-long period until August 6 to finish all the challenges and claim the car as your reward. Subsequently, if you fail to complete the tasks within the given timeframe, you’ll need to buy it using V-Bucks instead.
Unlocking the Tesla Cybertruck in Rocket League
As a big fan of both Fortnite and the Cybertruck, I understand if the thought of unlocking it through challenges in Fortnite seems daunting. But don’t worry, there’s an alternative way to get your hands on this iconic vehicle for free! Give Rocket League a try instead. By playing this exciting game, you may just earn yourself the Cybertruck as a reward. Happy gaming!
If you load up Rocket League, you can unlock the same Cybertruck bundle by completing three event challenges.

As someone who has spent countless hours playing various video games, I can definitely appreciate the excitement of completing challenges to unlock new rewards. However, based on my past experiences with similar games like Fortnite, I must admit that the prospect of only needing to finish three challenges instead of nine to obtain the Cybertruck set seems too good to be true.
As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that the convenience and excitement of cross-compatibility between games is a game-changer. I’ve spent countless hours playing both Rocket League and Fortnite, and being able to unlock rewards in both titles using the same Epic Games account is a real treat. It saves time, reduces clutter in my account management, and adds an extra layer of enjoyment to my gaming experience. It’s like getting two for the price of one! Bravo, Epic Games, keep up the good work!
When can you purchase the Tesla Cybertruck for V-Bucks?
As a gamer, if I’m not in the mood to grind it out and earn the Cybertruck in Fortnite or Rocket League, I can just as well purchase the bundle using my V-Bucks from August 6 onwards.
We don’t know how much V-Bucks it will cost yet, but we’ll keep you informed once we have more information.
