As a seasoned gamer with a heart full of nostalgia for all things Disney and Pixar, I must say that the latest update to Disney Dreamlight Valley has been nothing short of magical! The Jungle Getaway Update brought us none other than the hilarious duo, Timon and Pumbaa, right into our very own valley.
In Disney Dreamlight Valley, players get the opportunity to traverse various landscapes teeming with both Disney and Pixar figures. Gather resources, cast enchanting spells, and engage with cherished characters. Additionally, you can venture into the realms of your fellow players in Multiplayer mode. The creators continue to introduce fresh characters to the game periodically.
In the Jungle Getaway Update, you can now welcome Timon and Pumbaa into your Disney Dreamlight Valley! These friends hail from The Lion King’s realm. To have them join your valley, simply complete a series of tasks, quests, or challenges that are unique to these characters. This guide will walk you through the entire process step-by-step. Here’s a simplified breakdown on how to unlock Timon and Pumbaa in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How To Unlock Timon And Pumbaa?
To get access to fresh characters within the game, it’s essential to accomplish a specific series of tasks or missions. Just like Timon and Pumbaa, this rule applies to everyone. Here is a breakdown of what you should do:
Quest 1: Triggering “Finding Old Friends”
In this adventure, you’ll embark on the initial quest out of three that leads you to Timon and Pumba. In this stage, players engage with Simba to initiate the “Reuniting Old Friends” mission. Upon conversing with Simba, he voices worry about his companions. He then requests assistance from Dreamers by returning to the Lion King’s Kingdom realm.
If Simba is not found in the valley, then you’ll have to open the Lion King Realm, make friends with him, and bring him to your Dreamlight Valley.
Meeting Timon and Pumbaa
Returning to the realm of The Lion King prompts a scene where their location is unveiled. Locate this place and engage with them. Once you inform them you’re an ally of Simba and invite them to join your group, they’ll initially decline at first.
Rather than that, the pair invites you to learn some Hakuna Matata lessons, gather necessary resources, and ultimately convert them into a crafting station, which they will rename as a Mane.
Materials Required
In the realm of The Lion King, you’ll find it straightforward to get hold of the necessary materials for crafting the Mane. Here’s a list of all the required Materials:
- 4 pieces of Jungle Stones.
- 4 pieces of Red Jungle Leaves.
- 4 pieces of Jungle Wood.
Screaming Your Fears
Once you’ve acquired the Mane, Timon and Pumba will engage in a conversation.
First, head towards the wooden log and then proceed to the nearby river. There, you’ll retrieve a crown. To craft an Empty Vial using your workbench, remember that it needs Glass as a material.
You can also craft an Empty Vial by combining Coal Ore and Sand.
Set the crown atop the stone, then shatter it using a Pickaxe. Join them as they lead you to a river; there, voice your anxieties into an empty bottle and cast it into the current. Afterward, rest by calling forth a Shovel and applying it to the beds.
Quest 2: “Relax!”
After rising from your nap, interact with Pumba to start the second quest, Relax!
The focus of this journey lies in helping your character learn relaxation techniques. However, to accomplish this goal, you will require these essential tools:
- 6 pieces of Jungle Vines.
- 2 pieces of Palm Tree Sap.
Once the Hammock has been assembled, pass it on to Pumbaa who will scout out suitable places for its setup. Following his test of the hammock, he’ll invite you to try it in three distinct locations – by the Camp, at the River, and near the Oasis.
After exploring the picturesque sites, head back to Pumbaa for a rest. Post your nap, you’ll want to moisten three dry patches of ground to engage in some fun activities with the pair and gather fireflies at the three tranquil spots.
Cook the Fireflies and go to sleep.
Quest 3: “Where’s Pumbaa?”
After waking up, you’ll find Timon panicking as Pumbaa is missing. This starts the last quest.
Venture over to that lush oasis, home to my buddy Pumbaa who seems to be jammed in a tangled mess of logs. Snap a quick selfie with the tusked pal before helping him out. Timon, our chatty meerkat friend, approaches and tasks me with searching for insects to blend into an essential oil concoction.
Find all the needed bugs by tapping the Pickaxe on the three stones close to the riverbank. Request the Recipe from Timon and navigate towards the green plant cluster near the river for preparing Green Bug Oil and Orange Bug Oil. By blending both, you’ll get the Super Slippery Bug Oil, which should be given back to Timon. However, when you apply it on Pumbaa, it won’t have any effect.
As a dedicated fan, I’d highly recommend setting foot in Dreamlight Valley! There, you’ll encounter Goofy who will entrust you with an aged plunger. His mission for you is to gather a handful of specific items. Here’s what you’re looking for:
- 10 Pieces of Iron Ingots.
- 10 pieces of Rope.
- 5 Pieces of Tourmaline.
- 15 Pieces of Hardwood.
With this information at hand, you’ll construct the Sturdy Push Tool. Employ it to rescue Pumbaa and then return to camp. Eventually, retire for the night alongside Pumbaa and Timon. In due course, you’ll have the pleasure of welcoming them to our village.
