As a seasoned gamer with countless hours logged in various shooter games under my belt, I can appreciate the small details that add character and personality to these virtual worlds. Marvel Rivals’ Spray system is a perfect example of such an addition. It allows me to express myself creatively within the game and make each match feel unique.
As a gamer, I can tell you that Marvel Rivals, like many other action games out there, comes equipped with a Spray feature. This allows me to add cool graphics and tags to the game environment as I play.
During the game’s seasonal advancement, you have access to various spray options to personalize your experience. Feel free to select your preferred designs and attach them to the spray wheel for use in battles. While these sprays won’t affect the outcome of a fight, they do add a touch of beauty to the environment as you engage in combat.
As a savvy Marvel Rivals gamer, I’d be happy to share an efficient way to access and utilize various Sprays in the game, without requiring you to dig through the options menu.
How to use Sprays
During a game, press and hold the ‘T‘ key on your PC or the ‘Left D-pad‘ button on a controller. This action will display a wheel with available Sprays for you to utilize. Initially, only two Sprays are accessible – the Marvel Rivals logo and one unique to your selected hero. I discovered that Spider-Man’s default Spray is a block-white image of himself; rather arrogant, don’t you think?
Ensure you’re near a surface that can be sprayed on, such as a wall, floor, or ceiling. Then, choose your preferred Spray design. This action will transfer the design onto the surface in front of you, making it visible to other players in the game as well.
Applying Spray to a new surface a second time will cause the initial coated area to fade away. This measure is taken to prevent malicious players from covering an entire game level with Spray tags, which could potentially hinder focus during a competition.
How to equip new Sprays
As a dedicated fan, I’d suggest this: “To switch up your current Sprays, go to the ‘Heroes’ section in the main menu and select the ‘Cosmetics’ tab instead.”
In this area, you can view and switch out the Sprays you’ve presently unlocked for use on your quick-access wheel.
How to unlock new Sprays in Marvel Rivals
During the closed beta test, I was able to advance in Galacta’s Quest, the seasonal content of the game, and unlocked new sprays as a reward.
Upon the complete launch of the game, it’s likely that new Sprays will primarily be obtained through this method. However, there might be an opportunity to buy bundle deals containing them, but these haven’t been introduced during the beta testing yet.
Currently, you can unlock the following Sprays for your favourite heroes:
- 2099: Spider-Punk Spray – Spider-Man
- 1872: Steam Power Spray – Iron Man
- Galactic Protocol: Mantis Habit Spray – Mantis
- Green Scar Spray – Bruce Banner/Hulk
