How to Watch & Stream SYFY’s New Horror Series Revival

Is that a noise I hear? The faint thudding, perhaps, coming from the neighborhood cemetery? It’s the eerie soundtrack for SYFY’s latest chilling horror series – “Resurrection,” or simply put, Revival.

Based on the comic book with the same title, written by Tim Seeley and illustrated by Mike Norton, the series takes place in a small Wisconsin town where residents grapple with the shocking reality that their deceased loved ones have unexpectedly returned. Unlike traditional zombies, these “Revivers” retain their original personalities after death. The enigma captivates everyone from local law enforcement officer Dana Cypress (played by Melanie Scrofano) to CDC researcher Ibrahim Ramin (Andy McQueen).

I’m thrilled to be joining an impressive lineup of talented actors for our upcoming project! David James Elliott from Mad Men, Steven Ogg known for The Walking Dead, Gia Sandhu who was in A Simple Favor, Katharine King So from The Recruit, Maia Jae starred in In the Dark, Nathan Dales hails from Letterkenny, Mark Little is recognized for Doomlands, Glen Gould has been seen in Tulsa King, Lara Jean Chorostecki graced our screens in Nightmare Alley, and Conrad Coates was a familiar face in Fargo – these stars will be my co-stars! Can’t wait to work together and bring this project to life.

How to watch SYFY’s Revival?

On June 12th, this coming Thursday, Revival is set to debut on SYFY at 10:00 p.m. ET. After that, fresh episodes will be broadcast every Thursday night. A week following their television premiere, all episodes can be streamed exclusively on Peacock.

NBCUniversal’s streaming service provides two unique options: the Standard Plan at $7.99 per month featuring advertisements, and the Advanced Plan at $13.99 per month, which comes without ads and allows downloading select titles. Notably, students can subscribe to the Standard Plan for an affordable yearly rate of $1.99!

Who are the makers of Revival?

Originating from Blue Ice Pictures, known for producing SurrealEstate, and Hemmings Films, Revival was initially envisioned as a feature film but was later developed for television by creators Aaron B. Koontz and Luke Boyce.

Boyce shared that he and Aaron share a background in the independent film industry. They are accustomed to producing films on a shoestring budget within this realm. As such, they felt most comfortable working in this capacity, Boyce explained to SYFY WIRE. He added that television presents unique challenges, but fortunately, they encountered each other at a moment when there was an opening for collaboration.

Boyce went on to say: “It was actually Aaron who advocated for the series development,” Boyce added. “At one point, there was even a suggestion that we could do a limited series or something similar, keeping things confined. However, it was through Aaron’s efforts that this idea grew. As we began exploring what that might look like, it became clear that it would fit perfectly. The comic consists of 47 issues, so there is an abundance of story material. In some cases, there is even too much story, requiring a good deal of it to be trimmed. The characters and the town of Wausau, Wisconsin are particularly rich and complex, creating an almost self-imposed quarantine zone where various individuals grapple with something they don’t comprehend. This makes for a highly engaging narrative environment. Ultimately, a television series seemed like the most suitable medium.

Additionally, the pair assumes the role of co-producers together with Lance Samuels, Daniel Iron, Samantha Levine, Neil Tabatznik, Daniel March, Melanie Scrofano, Greg Hemmings, Stephen Foster, and Amanda Row.
