As a long-time fan of both Marvel and Dragon Ball, I must say that these mashups have truly ignited my imagination! The fusion of Vegeta with Wolverine is simply brilliant – two fierce warriors clad in each other’s iconic attire, their contrasting personalities perfectly encapsulated. It’s like peanut butter and jelly, or Spock and Kirk… or maybe even bacon and eggs!
In some cases, the most entertaining duos in movies and series don’t consist of two individuals who are harmonious, but rather contrast each other dramatically, creating an enjoyable chaos. A recent illustration of this can be found in the Marvel films, particularly Deadpool and Wolverine, where we have a smart-mouthed, rule-breaking mercenary matched with a grumpy, clawed mutant struggling with survivor’s guilt. As a more traditional example, there’s Goku and Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z. When you blend these high-ranking fighters from Dragon Ball Z with the Marvel mutants, it creates an intriguing fusion, as some fan art has demonstrated, and I find the outcomes fascinating.
As a die-hard fan of both Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z and Wolverine from Marvel Comics, it’s not hard to imagine the two clashing in a universe crossover. They share similar traits – a fierce temperament and an aversion towards their more jovial counterparts, even though Wolverine doesn’t possess Vegeta’s planet-shattering power as the Prince of Saiyans. If Vegeta ever decided to slip into Wolverine’s iconic yellow suit and equip himself with adamantium claws, he might just look like the masterpiece salvamakoto created!

1. Doesn’t that fusion just work wonders, doesn’t it? I can picture Vegeta quite clearly saying, “I excel in everything I do, and what I do isn’t exactly admirable.” Regarding Goku and Deadpool, the illustration depicts the main character from the Dragon Ball series (created by the late Akira Toriyama) discarding Wade Wilson’s mask, but since it’s essential to keep that iconic spiky hair visible, he otherwise looks quite fitting as the Merc with the Mouth.

Regarding the main characters of Deadpool and Wolverine, it’s fair to say that their history didn’t begin with them being outright enemies. Contrastingly, Goku and Vegeta started off as adversaries when Vegeta arrived on Earth with Nappa in Dragon Ball Z. However, when menaces like Frieza and Cell emerged, causing chaos, Goku and Vegeta managed to set aside their differences and form an alliance. As of now, Deadpool and Wolverine are in a similar position, but I can’t help but believe that by the end of Deadpool & Wolverine, they may develop a stronger bond than what Goku and Vegeta share, although it doesn’t necessarily mean they will become the closest of friends.
It’s uncertain if Deadpool and Wolverine will team up again in future Marvel films, but with The Multiverse Saga continuing through movies like “Avengers: Doomsday” and “Avengers: Secret Wars,” it’s possible they could reappear. Meanwhile, fans can look forward to the return of Goku and Vegeta in the new anime series, “Dragon Ball Daima,” which premieres this October on the 2024 TV schedule.
The movie featuring Deadpool and Wolverine is currently showing in theaters, but it’s expected to be streamable with a Disney+ membership by the end of this year. To watch series such as Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z Kai, Dragon Ball GT, and Dragon Ball Super, simply get a Hulu subscription.
