As a die-hard fan of all things spooky and fabulous, I must say that Jenna Ortega has been absolutely slaying the red carpet this season, especially with her unforgettable looks for the upcoming “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” movie. Her tribute to Michael Keaton’s iconic wedding tuxedo was a chilling delight, and I couldn’t help but feel a pang of jealousy over that Old Hollywood corset she wore at the UK premiere – it was to-die-for!
Recently, I’ve been utterly smitten by Jenna Ortega’s fashion choices as we gear up for her 2024 film, “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.” Last week in London, she beautifully echoed the 1988 original movie with a nod to Michael Keaton’s memorable Beetlejuice style. Yet, it’s hard to pick between my admiration for that tribute and her stunning Old Hollywood corset she wore at the UK premiere just a day prior – both are absolute showstoppers!
Jenna Ortega’s Outfit Pays Homage To Beetlejuice’s Wedding Tuxedo
As a gamer, I’m always impressed by Jenna Ortega’s fashion game. Whether it’s channeling Wednesday Addams, slaying as Sidney Prescott in Scream, or going full-on goth with Sabrina Carpenter in a music video, she never misses a beat. She even paid tribute to Winona Ryder’s iconic wedding dress from the original movie and showed us she can handle the ghost with the most, as evident in this group shot.
On August 30th, everyone gathered for a photoshoot at One Marylebone in London, and Jenna Ortega’s ensemble – a maroon suit jacket paired with a lacy red bra and red tights – was an unmistakable reference to the undead groom.
In the photograph, she’s accompanied by the stellar cast members from Beetlejuice, including Catherine O’Hara, Monica Bellucci, Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, Willem Dafoe, and Justin Theroux. Each of them exudes a captivating charm in their respective gothic attires, except for Michael Keaton who, as usual with Beetlejuice, flouts the trend.
Jenna Ortega Channels Old Hollywood Glam In Black And Teal Gown
Between Jenna Ortega’s red jacket on the press tour and her black and teal outfit at the London premiere on August 29, I find it hard to choose my favorite. However, the Harris Reed gown she wore, which seems like it could be a set piece from one of her movies, really elevated her glamour to the maximum level.
In my enthusiasm, I didn’t think the ensemble could get any more captivating – the delicate teal panels contrasting beautifully with the velvety black, the corset with its intricate lacing up the back and flaring mermaid-style at the hips. But then, I added the cherry on top: a handbag modeled after the iconic Beetlejuice house.
It’s clear that Jenna Ortega threw herself wholeheartedly into the role for the sequel of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. In fact, she took inspiration from Geena Davis’ spectral character and recreated a spooky atmosphere in a photoshoot.
If the objective is to generate enthusiasm for the film, I believe she has accomplished this task effectively, even though the film might not require a significant boost. Initial responses to showings of “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” and the return of Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, and Catherine O’Hara to the afterlife have been favorable, with critics describing the movie as “delightfully spooky.”
At last, we won’t have to wait much longer to shape our own thoughts, since “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” is set to premiere in theaters on Friday, September 6.
