In casual conversation, you might hear people say “they’ll watch anything featuring their favorite actor or movie series” quite often, including myself. But sometimes, this claim is really put to the test. Marvel, for instance, pushed boundaries by uploading an eight-hour video of Wolverine actor Hugh Jackman simply breathing. As expected, the internet responded in its unique way – they watched it and left comments that left me amused.
To mark April as National Stress Awareness Month, Marvel chose to share a soothing video: Hugh Jackman in his Wolverine character, deeply breathing for eight hours. Occasionally, throughout the video, the camera focuses on Jackman striking a tense and somewhat unsettling pose. However, primarily, the video consists of him quietly breathing against a backdrop of red and yellow, accompanied by soft music. Although I didn’t watch the full 8-hour video, I scrolled through the comments, and the internet never fails to deliver an interesting perspective.
- Definitely what Deadpool listens to when going to sleep – @Roguekabuki
- This is what I needed all the time, Wolverine breathing for 9 straight hours 🔥- @pulkitverma593
- This is how long it takes Wolverine to calm down after a five minute conversation with Wade – @arbknight12
- Clearly, Marvel has hired someone who knows the audience fairly well. “Post a video of 8 hours, and they’ll still watch it!” – @TTGpk
- This ain’t just breathing, this is Wolverine unlocking inner peace before the multiverse collapses in Secret Wars. Man’s training harder than Strange during incursion – @pradipsaha5659
- This is hilarious 😂 Nothing like Wolverine aggressively grunting in your ears for 8 hours straight to get you to calm down. – @TimDaco
- If you think I’m going to be listening to this for 8 hours, you’re right ily Hugh – @rodgersstark8864
- Now we need him screaming for another eight hour’s 😅. – @mario7182
It’s clear that the marketing for the Deadpool & Wolverine film remains top-notch, even though it has been some time since its theater release. To drum up interest in the movie’s arrival on Disney+, Ryan Reynolds shared a humorous short clip featuring a Wolverine popcorn bucket. In honor of Deadpool’s 10th anniversary, Reynolds posted a funny video tribute to Wade, which drew a witty response from Jackman. And let’s not forget about Jackman dancing to “Bye Bye Bye” – another entertaining moment!
Returning to the Marvel breathing tutorial video, it’s amusing to notice that they seem to grasp their audience well, by making light of our eagerness to consume any content. What makes it more humorous is that this wasn’t even released on April Fool’s Day!
At present, it’s uncertain if Deadpool 4 is being developed, but there are whispers that Marvel might be focusing on a Deadpool and Wolverine collaboration after the film’s triumph. This news excites fans like me, should it indeed be accurate. Their previous joint venture smashed box office records and served as a refreshing change following some underperforming precursors. The blend of creativity and fun was delightful, and despite Jackman’s commitment to reprise his role until he turns 90, it’s heartening to see him having a good time.
