Recently, I had the privilege of watching this cinematic gem with my own daughter, just before she embarks on her new journey in life – a moment that was as poignant as it was profound.
On November 22, 2024, the movie “Abhishek Bachchan’s I Want To Talk,” directed by Shoojit Sircar, hit the big screen. Abhishek Bachchan’s acting in this film has been garnering tremendous acclaim from movie-goers. Notably, Anurag Kashyap recently shared a heartfelt review, recounting his memorable experience of watching the film with his daughter just before her wedding.
On December 1st, Anurag Kashyap posted the poster for Abhishek Bachchan’s movie “I Want To Talk” on his Instagram account. After seeing the film, the director wrote a lengthy note expressing heartfelt compliments about it.
Anurag wrote, “In a few weeks, my daughter is getting married, and we had our final movie outing together before the big day. Watching this moving film with @aaliyahkashyap was truly therapeutic – it made me laugh and brought tears to my eyes.

I’m still processing my emotions after watching this movie, as there were so many feelings involved. I highly recommend seeing it while it’s still playing in theaters. It may not say exactly what you expect, but it will certainly speak to you in ways that are meaningful. Shoojit, you’re exceptional and you already know it.

This movie is inspired by a true story about an NRI who is said to be a cancer survivor, and is also a close friend of the director.
