Ilana Glazer, Clark Gregg Join Broadway Cast of George Clooney’s ‘Good Night and Good Luck’

Ilana Glazer and Clark Gregg are set to join George Clooney on the Broadway stage for a production of “Good Night, and Good Luck“.

The play, penned by George Clooney and Grant Heslov, is set to commence previews at the Winter Garden Theatre from March 12, with its official premiere slated for April 3. This new production is a stage adaptation of the movie “Good Night, and Good Luck,” which was also written by Clooney and Heslov. The plot revolves around the confrontation between journalist Edward R. Murrow and U.S. Senator Joseph McCarthy, as Murrow stands firm in his commitment to report on McCarthy’s anti-communist crusade.

George Clooney is set to grace Broadway for the first time, portraying Edward R. Murrow, while the entire ensemble will assume roles based on real-life characters.

In this production, it’s Glazer’s first time gracing the Broadway stage; she is recognized for her work on Broad City. She will take on the character of Shirley Wershba, while Gregg, known for his appearances in the Marvel Cinema Universe, will portray Don Hollenbeck.

The entire cast features: Mac Brandt playing Colonel Anderson, Will Dagger as Don Hewitt, Christopher Denham in the role of John Aaron, Glenn Fleshler portraying Fred Friendly, Paul Gross as William F. Paley, Georgia Heers as Ella, Carter Hudson as Joe Wershba, Fran Kranz as Palmer Williams, Jennifer Morris as Millie Green, Michael Nathanson in the character of Eddie Scott, Andrew Polk as Charlie Mack, Aaron Roman Weiner as Don Surine, with R. Ward Duffy, Joe Forbrich, Imani Rousselle, Greg Stuhr, JD Taylor, and Sophia Tzougros completing the cast.

David Cromer is set to lead the production of this play, with Scott Pask handling the scenic design, Heather Gilbert taking care of the lighting, David Bengali responsible for video and projections, Daniel Kluger in charge of sound, and Brenda Abbandandolo overseeing the costumes.
