I’m Sad That Fallout Season 2 Might Be Years Away, But Ella Purnell Assures Us She’s Ready To ‘Get Going’

As a dedicated fan who has spent countless hours immersed in the post-apocalyptic world of Fallout, I can confidently say that the anticipation for Season 2 is as relentless and unyielding as a Deathclaw stalking through the Wasteland. The news that lead actress Ella Purnell, who brilliantly brings Lucy to life, hasn’t received a script yet has left me with an empty Vault-Tec lunchbox where my hopes and dreams once resided.

It’s been a few months now since “Fallout” premiered on the 2024 TV schedule and quickly rose to become one of Amazon Prime’s most popular shows. With fans eagerly anticipating Season 2, lead actress Ella Purnell is already gearing up to work on the next installment, even though there isn’t much news about the video game adaptation “Fallout” just yet.

In the bustling realm of television streaming, it’s often the case to endure long waits between seasons of a favorite show. It appears that ‘Fallout’ might be joining this group, which makes me quite disappointed. Yet, I was fortunate enough to chat with Purnell (the actress who portrays Lucy) before the debut of her fresh series, ‘Sweetpea.’ Intrigued, I inquired if she had any updates about Season 2 during the hiatus. Purnell shared that, if there were any news, she would disclose it – but she’s prepared and excited to start working whenever she receives a script and looks forward to continuing the storyline.

To put it simply, if I had any information at hand, I would gladly pass it on since I’m not bound by any allegiances, but in truth, that’s just a joke. Frankly, I don’t possess any knowledge yet. I’m merely eager and can’t wait to begin or start moving forward with what I have.

For several weeks, “Fallout” was the top-rated show on Amazon Prime Video, garnering popularity comparable to “The Boys,” one of Amazon’s finest series. Given this success, it comes as no surprise that a second season was swiftly commissioned. Unfortunately, I must confess that it is disheartening to learn that the main actor hasn’t received a script yet, which might indicate that Season 2 will likely not be included in the 2025 television lineup.

Regardless of the numerous roles she has lined up this year, I admire her eagerness to return to work on the Prime Video series. Apart from starring in “Sweetpea” on Starz, where she consistently portrays intricate characters, the second season of “Arcane” is scheduled for release in November, marking her last performance as Jinx’s voice.

Without a doubt, Purnell has had an extraordinary 2024! I’m eagerly anticipating her return as Lucy in Fallout Season 2. However, it seems we’ll need to exercise some patience for updates about the continuation of her story. Until then, I guess I’ll have to revisit a few rounds of the Fallout games to pass the time.

At the moment, if you feel like you’re missing Purnell, don’t forget to revisit the series Fallout on Prime Video, and definitely take a look at her latest Starz dark-comedy production, Sweetpea. This show is relatable for everyone.
