Given her desire to prioritize time with her daughters, I can understand why she would prefer spending holidays at home instead of braving the cold streets of New York City for broadcasting.
It looks like Craig Melvin might step into that role starting from November, since he’s been selected to fill in for Hoda Kotb during the first hour of Today, teaming up with Savannah Guthrie. His new position could come with an increased salary, and even though he’ll continue on NBC’s morning show during the third hour, he won’t be joining Jenna Bush Hager in the fourth hour. Instead, that segment will undergo a change and be known as “Jenna & Friends”, featuring a series of guest co-hosts.
