Imran Khan is known for his versatility in acting, showcasing his talent through a wide range of films. As he celebrates another year and gains more experience, let’s reminisce about the past, such as when Katrina Kaif, his co-star from Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, struck him approximately 20 times to add genuine emotion to a particular scene.
In an interview with Urban Asia, Katrina Kaif reminisced about a significant moment from the set of Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. She discussed a key scene where her character had to slap Imran Khan’s character, and she clarified that this action took place on one specific occasion. Imran is said to have jokingly mentioned that he was slapped by Katrina around 20 times during the filming process.
Originally, Katrina shared that she felt upset because the mood in the scene seemed off to her at first. To enhance authenticity, Imran proposed she should give a genuine slap rather than pretending to do so.
Following his guidance, Katrina proceeded, however, due to the numerous retakes needed – approximately 15-16 in all – Imran found himself getting quite a few harsh smacks.
After heeding his suggestion, Katrina moved forward, but since multiple shots were necessary – around 15 or 16 takes in total – poor Imran ended up receiving several hard slaps.
At the conclusion of the filming, Katrina confessed that by then, Imran was begging, “I can’t stand any more hits.” Regardless of the obstacles, they were content with the end product, and the scene turned out effectively.
