As a lifelong fan of Pixar and a devoted follower of the Parr family’s extraordinary adventures, I can’t help but feel like Christmas came early with the announcement of “Incredibles 3.” You see, I still remember the thrill of watching Bob, Helen, Violet, Dash, JackJack, and Frozone in action for the first time back in 2004. The way Brad Bird masterfully combined humor, heart, and high-stakes superheroics was nothing short of incredible (pun intended).
In the year 2004, when superhero films were gaining immense popularity due to movies like Blade, X-Men, Spider-Man, and others, Pixar decided to venture into this genre with The Incredibles, a story about the Parr Family being compelled to act in an era when it was forbidden to be a costumed crimefighter. In 2018, we were brought back together with Bob, Helen, Violet, Dash, JackJack, and Frozone in Incredibles 2. Now, there’s news that we’ll meet these characters once more in Incredibles 3. Since the threequel has been officially confirmed, I’m eagerly anticipating that it will continue the tradition of featuring the supervillain known as The Underminer.
As a dedicated Pixar fan with a deep appreciation for the Incredibles franchise, I am thrilled to share my excitement about the upcoming Incredibles 3. Having grown up watching the first two movies and admiring Brad Bird’s exceptional storytelling abilities, it’s an absolute delight to learn that he will once again be at the helm of this beloved series.
In terms of official details, that’s all we have for now. Nevertheless, it’s likely that Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Sarah Vowell, and Samuel L. Jackson will reprise their roles in the upcoming film. Given Huckleberry Milne’s age and the fact he voiced Dash in Incredibles 2, I expect that character will be recast once more, assuming Incredibles 3 is set shortly after Incredibles 2 rather than several years later. However, let’s save a discussion about the timeline for another conversation.
