‘Industry’ Renewed for Fourth Season at HBO

As a die-hard fan of gripping dramas set in the world of finance, I couldn’t be more thrilled about the fourth season renewal of HBO’s Industry! With two episodes left in season three, the anticipation is palpable. This series has consistently delivered a raw, unflinching portrayal of ambition and class, making it a must-watch for anyone who enjoys a good workplace drama.

HBO is putting the traders of Pierpoint back to work.

The cable network has commissioned another season for the show “Industry,” its dramatic series that takes place within the financial sector of London. This decision was made even with only two episodes remaining in the current third season, which concludes on September 29.

The entertainment sector has seen significant viewership expansion during this season. Although it’s not among HBO’s most popular shows, the program conceived by Mickey Down and Konrad Kay has experienced a 40% rise compared to its second season, attracting an average of 1.6 million viewers across platforms since its August 11 debut. This figure is expected to climb further, as HBO tallies viewership within 90 days from the premiere.

Over the past three seasons, Industry has shown a relentless focus on exploring themes of ambition and class, cementing its position as a standout HBO drama,” stated Francesca Orsi, executive vice president of HBO Programming and head of HBO series and films. “Thanks to Mickey and Konrad’s unique perspective, this gripping portrayal of London finance has revolutionized the modern workplace drama. We’re thrilled that both viewers and critics have praised season three as exceptional, with its stellar performances by our exceptional cast. We have full confidence that Mickey, Konrad, along with the fantastic team led by executive producer Jane Tranter at Bad Wolf, and executive producer Kathleen McCaffrey, will elevate season four to even greater success.

In season three, we’ve been tracking Yasmin (Marisa Abela), Robert (Harry Lawtey), and Eric (Ken Leung) as they take a significant risk by investing in a green energy firm run by a British noble (Kit Harington, who openly admires Industry). This move connects them with influential figures in finance, media, and government. Simultaneously, Harper (Myha’la) seeks to re-enter the alluring realm of finance.

We are extremely pleased and thankful to HBO, Bad Wolf’s fantastic team, and our outstanding cast and crew for their ongoing faith in Industry, which has allowed us to expand our skills as creators, writers, and now directors. We’re excited to explore further depths and strive to create the best season yet in season four.” – Down and Kay stated in a release.

Speaking about Industry, Tranter from Bad Wolf stated, “The last eight years have been an extraordinary journey, from the initial development to now commissioning a fourth season. HBO’s continued faith in Mickey, Konrad, our cast, and the entire creative team at Bad Wolf is a significant endorsement in these uncertain times. Our dedication to fostering new talent and investing in high-quality programming has led us to a show we are all extremely proud of. We can’t wait to return to Wolf Studios Wales to elevate Industry even further.

The cast of the industry is made up of Conor MacNeill, Sagar Radia, Sarah Goldberg, Miriam Petche, Indy Lewis, Adam Levy, Sarah Parish, Trevor White, Elena Saurel, Irfan Shamji, Andrew Havill, Roger Barclay, Fady Elsayed, and Fiona Button. In simpler terms, a total of 14 actors are part of this specific industry’s cast.

Bad Wolf is responsible for creating the series that air on HBO and BBC. Down and Kay serve as executive producers, alongside Tranter, Kate Crowther, and Ryan Rasmussen from Bad Wolf, and Rebecca Ferguson from the BBC. In season four, Kathleen McCaffrey of Little Gems will join the team as an executive producer. Down and Kay, along with Isabella Eklöf and Zoé Wittock, also direct some episodes.
