Inside Heather and Tarek El Moussa’s New $5.2 Million Mansion: A Glimpse Before the Redesign

Tarek El Moussa and his wife Heather Rae, known for their home flipping work on various HGTV shows (with a Max subscription), naturally have an eye for creating stunning living spaces for others. It’s only fitting that they too should have a beautiful residence to return to after their busy days. The El Moussas recently unveiled their new house, and I can’t wait to see its transformation, even before any redecorating takes place!

The Flip Off stars (who competed against Tarek El Moussa’s ex-wife Christina Haack on the HGTV competition show earlier on the 2025 TV schedule) dropped $5.2 million for a 4-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom mansion in Newport Beach, California, per Realtor.com. They shared some first glimpses at the rooms on Instagram, and — no surprises here — it’s beautiful. See for yourself:

The manor showcases an abundance of wood, stretching beyond the flooring to the cabinetry in the kitchen. As soon as you step inside through the main entrance, expansive windows spanning almost an entire wall offer a view into the backyard. Furthermore, numerous skylights dotting the high ceiling let in ample daylight from above.

In a hint of things to come with her design, Heather Rae El Moussa from ‘Selling Sunset’ appeared to be making an early start, as she was captured bending over what seemed to be a marble countertop, examining shades of beige and black paint swatches.

It’s no surprise that Tarek El Moussa seemed brimming with ideas for incorporating his signature style in the open-concept kitchen and living area, as evidenced by him gesturing animatedly as he toured the space. I’m eager to see what unique touches they’ll bring to this space, and the real intrigue lies in whether or not they’ll record the process for HGTV.

Fans are eagerly anticipating news about a potential second season of “The Flip Off,” where there may be a shift in teams. During Season 1, Tarek and Christina El Moussa targeted Christina Haack, star of “Christina on the Coast,” who was initially paired with her then-husband Josh Hall. However, their divorce midway through production led to him being removed from the show.

There’s been much discussion about Christina Haack and Heather Rae El Moussa potentially teaming up against Tarek, known as the “king of flipping.” While it remains to be seen how their teams will ultimately form (and I don’t anticipate Haack’s new partner entering the picture as a fourth), the convenience of the El Moussas’ new residence should facilitate filming more efficiently. This is because their house is said to be only a short four-minute drive away from Christina Haack’s.

Max offers significant savings on Annual Plans! If you’re looking to save money while still enjoying your favorite HGTV shows, prepaying for a year could be an excellent choice. You can benefit from discounts of up to 16% across three different plans, or opt for the most affordable plan starting at just $9.99 per month. However, I’d strongly suggest considering Max as part of a bundle with Disney Plus and Hulu, available for as low as $16.99 a month. Check out this great deal!

Despite HGTV shows suggesting otherwise, this setup is quite advantageous. The former stars of “Flip or Flop,” Tarek El Moussa and his exes Christina Haack, share not one but three children between them: Tarek’s son with Heather Rae, and Christina’s sons with her two different ex-husbands, Ant Anstead and Tarek himself. This proximity makes co-parenting smoother, and it also offers more opportunities for the lovely duo, Christina and Heather, to take stunning bikini photos together.

The second season of “The Flip Off” has not been officially announced by HGTV yet, but the verbal sparring has already started. I’ll definitely be on the lookout for any updates and can’t wait to see some before-and-after footage from the latest El Moussa renovation projects.
