Is Aamir Khan a ‘red flag’? Actor confesses making ex-wife Kiran Rao cry because of his ‘ego’

Aamir Khan has enjoyed a prosperous professional journey, yet his private life has been marked by certain issues. In a conversation with Raj Shamani, the actor admitted that on one occasion, his ‘overinflated pride’ or ego caused tears to fall from his ex-wife Kiran Rao in the nighttime.

When asked about any warning signs in his life, Aamir Khan openly acknowledged that his intense devotion to work was one of them. He admitted that when he first started out, he became deeply engrossed in his work. Additionally, he confessed that he would become extremely emotional and might not speak for 3-4 days following any hurt feelings. However, the actor asserted that he has made significant progress in this area over time.

He conveyed his feelings by reminiscing about a past disagreement with his former wife, Kiran Rao. The argument left him deeply wounded, to the point where he barely spoke to her despite residing under the same roof, sleeping in the same room and bed. At that moment, their conversations were reduced to mere formalities. He expressed his dissatisfaction to her during this period.

The 60-year-old indicated that Rao was feeling distressed due to the disagreement, and this distress was exacerbated by Khan’s failure to address her concerns.

She was persistently trying to engage with me, but I wasn’t responding at all, making it quite challenging. On the fourth night, her efforts culminated in tears, expressing frustration over my lack of response.

The actor admitted that he was experiencing a mix of feelings within him – anger, which left him unable to forgive or communicate with her. He acknowledged that the pain was quite profound, and ‘pride’ accurately described his state at that moment.

He also mentioned that, even though he yearned for reconciliation, he found it impossible to make that move. In conclusion, he acknowledged that he harbored an issue – he finds it difficult to forgive someone who has caused him harm, a trait he discovered during his therapy sessions.
