heads up! this article reveals SPOILERS for Murderbot season 1, episode 5 – PreservationAux stumbled upon Leebeebee (Anna Konkle), the lone DeltFall survey survivor in episode 5 of Murderbot, and I suspect she’s more treacherous than appearances suggest. In an attempt to aid, the characters from Murderbot chose to assist the DeltFall survey team on their planet, a decision that ultimately led to catastrophe. By the end of episode 4, Murderbot (Alexander Skarsgård) was forced to shoot itself in the chest, and Gurathin (David Dastmalchian) uncovered its tampered governor module during repairs to the SecUnit. The journey to DeltFall brought about much harm, but Murderbot may be concealing a further detrimental outcome of the rescue operation.
Following an incident where Murderbot self-inflicted a wound to its chest, the team from PreservationAux discovered one of the survivors of the DeltFall tragedy. This individual, Leebeebee, provided fragments of information about the incident, which suggested that the SecUnits at DeltFall went awry and wiped out everyone in the facility. As Leebeebee isn’t a character in Martha Wells’ “The Murderbot Diaries,” her future narrative is uncertain, leading me to suspect she might be concealing something significant. This deviation from the original story leaves me with the impression that she could potentially pose a serious risk to PreservationAux and Murderbot.
Leebeebee’s Backstory As An Indentured Servant For DeltFall Seems Very Suspicious
Leebeebee’s Story Is Way Too Convenient & She’s Being Way Too Weird Around Murderbot
In the debut of Leebeebee, she raised several red flags for me. Initially, her background story appeared suspicious. Leebeebee presented herself as a servant under DeltFall’s employment, yet she was vague about their activities, which seemed more like an attempt to divert PreservationAux’s curiosity. Moreover, she dismissed Arada (Tattiawna Jones) and Murderbot when they flagged her unusual actions, such as discussing Murderbot’s private areas or staring at it. It also seems implausible that DeltFall would bring an indentured servant primarily for maintenance work and laundry tasks.
Beyond the questionable background of Leebeebee, it’s also worth noting that one survivor of the DeltFall massacre feels unusual. It’s expected that everyone at DeltFall was deceased before PresAux departed their habitat, and the SecUnits should have discovered this survivor before PresAux arrived. Additionally, her behavior is disconcerting, as she quickly became inappropriate with the genderless and non-sexual Murderbot, even going so far as to attempt a kiss from the SecUnit later on. While some of this can be attributed to shock, it collectively portrays Leebeebee as being more peculiar than one might initially assume.
It’s one thing for characters in the Murderbot series to be quirky, but Leebeebee has been acting unusually suspicious. For instance, after PreservationAux had Murderbot returned to their habitat and began repairs, Leebeebee was insistent on eliminating it before PresAux could disarm the combat override module. This odd behavior extended when she seemed suspiciously interested in learning about PresAux’s activities and their discoveries during their survey. In contrast, Gurathin is beginning to appear as a noble figure within the world of Murderbot.
I’m Convinced Leebeebee Is Secretly Working For The Villains In Murderbot
I Think Leebeebee Was Left Behind At DeltFall To Infiltrate PreservationAux
It appears that Leebeebee’s peculiar traits point towards a single, intriguing possibility: she may not be an authentic survivor of the DeltFall massacre, but rather someone collaborating with the perpetrators, disguising herself among them to infiltrate PreservationAux and carry out similar acts. If this is indeed Murderbot’s plan for her, then her oddities become clear: she’s concealing her ignorance about DeltFall because she doesn’t possess it, and her fascination with Murderbot stems from the fact that it was meant to aid her in killing PreservationAux, but instead attempted to eliminate itself.

The notion that Leebeebee might be the villain in the series ‘Murderbot’ gains credibility when considering Leebeebee’s later conversation with Murderbot, as well as the actions of Mensah. They suspect that someone impersonated PreservationAux to gain access to DeltFall and manipulate the situation by allowing a rogue SecUnit in and taking control of the existing ones. In this light, it seems plausible that Leebeebee is attempting to deceive PreservationAux and Murderbot by posing as DeltFall herself, aiming to win their trust so she can introduce another SecUnit that could ultimately lead to their demise. I’m increasingly convinced that Leebeebee is the antagonist in ‘Murderbot’, and I strongly advise that both PreservationAux and Murderbot remain vigilant around her.
