Is Priyanka Chopra eyeing a Bollywood comeback soon? Citadel actress shares why she's 'picky'

As an ardent fan of Priyanka Chopra, I’ve always been captivated by her journey from Bollywood to Hollywood and back again. Her ability to adapt and excel in diverse roles is nothing short of inspiring.

Priyanka Chopra has been dominating globally through her impactful performances in various international ventures. Despite Bollywood enthusiasts yearning for her return to Hindi films, the actress has sparked enthusiasm among fans by suggesting a possible comeback. Furthermore, she discussed her selective approach towards choosing roles.

In a recent chat with Forbes India, Priyanka Chopra was questioned about her work experiences in Bollywood and Hollywood. Comparing the two industries, she noted that the fundamental aspects of movie-making globally are consistent: a script, directors (ADs), and producers, regardless of location.

Highlighting the “differences in culture,” Priyanka Chopra pointed out that Hollywood is more structured, with a significant amount of documentation involved. She disclosed that before filming, one might receive approximately 100 emails and the schedules could also be strict based on the previous day’s wrap time.

In Bollywood, the actress pointed out a more flexible and innovative method, often referred to as “jugaad,” which helps get things done smoothly. She also mentioned a slightly romantic and laid-back approach that is reflective of the countries themselves. The actress noted that this style of working allows for exceptional creativity, sometimes even emerging organically.

When asked if she still enjoys using ‘jugaad’ at work, the actress openly confessed her fondness for slow-motion dancing scenes and speaking in Hindi or other languages. She expressed eagerness, stating, “If you have a project ready for me, bring it on! I’ve been examining numerous scripts, and I hope to finalize something soon.

The actress, who’s been rather selective with the roles she takes, explained that after acting for nearly 25 years, it was now appropriate for her to be more discerning. She used the phrase “it’s high time” to indicate that this was an opportune moment for her to make thoughtful choices about her roles.

In 2019, Priyanka Chopra starred in Shonali Bose’s film titled “The Sky Is Pink,” alongside notable actors such as Farhan Akhtar, Rohit Saraf, and Zaira Wasim who played crucial roles.

On a professional level, I’m immersed in the action-packed world of Citadel Season 2, my upcoming series. I frequently share sneak peeks from my set on my social media platforms, offering glimpses into my day-to-day activities. Beyond that, I also have The Bluff and Heads Of State projects waiting in the wings. As a dedicated follower, I’m excited to see where these ventures lead!
