As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t wait to see what Switch 2 games will be available! Will one of them be Yoshi’s Wooly World? During the Switch 2’s Direct, its box art appeared, leaving me wondering if a port is in the works. It could also have been an oversight and they meant to include Crafted World instead, but only time will tell.
AntDude, a YouTuber who’s passionate about Nintendo, recently pointed out on X that Super Wooly World is among the games depicted in an image where Switch 1 titles with backwards-compatibility are highlighted. It’s intriguing to see such a mistake in a Direct that has been meticulously planned over several months, sparking speculation among fans about a potential upcoming port.
Generally speaking, many fans consider Yoshi’s Woolly World to be the better game in comparison to Yoshi’s Crafted World. Although neither title can be dismissed as bad, Crafted World experienced some criticisms for its repetitive background music and levels that leaned more towards gimmicks. On the other hand, Woolly World is often seen as a traditional 2.5D platformer, with several people drawing parallels between it and the iconic Yoshi’s Island on SNES.
It’s possible that this might be an error due to the challenging nature of creating presentations for this particular company. If it does turn out to be correct, there’s a chance we could see another high-quality Wii U port on the Nintendo Switch before its successor fully captures their attention. Given that the game is already available on the Wii U, one would expect the transition to the Switch to be relatively straightforward, and hopefully, it will include any 3DS-exclusive features.
