It Looks Like Those Grey’s Anatomy Exits Are Finally Happening, And That Big Cliffhanger Has Me Worried About Mika

As a long-time fan of Grey’s Anatomy, I’ve weathered many storms and said goodbye to several beloved characters. But if what we just witnessed was indeed Mika Yasuda’s final moment on Grey Sloan Memorial, it would be a heart-wrenching farewell that could rival even the departure of McDreamy himself.

⚠️ Here comes a significant reveal about the latest Grey’s Anatomy episode on November 7, titled “Night Moves”. If you haven’t seen it yet and want to, you can always watch it later with your Hulu subscription. Enjoy streaming!

If what we just watched was the last night of Levi Schmitt’s career at Grey Sloan, it was one to remember. The same could be said for Mika Yasuda but for wholly different reasons. It was known before Season 21 premiered on the 2024 TV schedule that both Jake Borelli and Midori Francis were exiting the series, appearing only long enough to wrap up their storylines. After November 7’s “Night Moves,” it looks like that time has come, and after that wild cliffhanger, I’m preparing myself to be devastated by what happens to Mika.

Levi Schmitt Goes Out On A High Note

Let’s begin with Levi Schmitt, who may have just experienced the highlight of his professional life. Not only did he excel when Bailey and Webber temporarily promoted him as an attending, but he also received a heartfelt gift from the girl whose life he miraculously saved during their helicopter near-death encounter. As the prospect of a new job in Texas arises, it seems clear that Jake Borelli’s time on Grey’s Anatomy may be coming to an end. In the end, Levi decided he couldn’t resist the opportunity to advance his career in pediatrics.

Was this not Jake Borelli’s last appearance? I suspect it wasn’t, as I anticipate we’ll learn more about Levi’s developing relationship with James – will the chaplain accompany him? – but honestly, if he did leave, I wouldn’t have minded seeing the underappreciated doctor go out with such a strong performance.

Is Grey’s Anatomy Going To Kill Off Mika Yasuda?

Mika Yasuda had quite an eventful evening too. Her sister Chloe was due for discharge in the morning, yet instead of resting, she assisted Jules Millin (Adelaide Kane) in a life-saving operation. This act granted her permission to join in on a surgery, and not only that, but Mika and Jules rekindled their romance hinted at earlier in this season.

After a sleepless night, Mika unintentionally dozed off while driving herself and Chloe home from the hospital. As the final moments of Grey’s Anatomy unfolded, their van collided, leaving both women injured and unconscious within the debris. A sneak peek at next week’s episode titled “If You Leave” reveals Mika battling for her life as a surgeon on the rise.

For at least the next week, Jules’ scream will linger in my mind, as I fear Mika may not survive. It’s been a while since “Grey’s Anatomy” last wrote off a main character – I believe it was Andrew DeLuca who met his end due to stab wounds during the spring premiere of Season 17 in 2021. Could we be facing another loss soon?

The situation isn’t promising, but fortunately, we don’t have much longer to wait and see how things unfold. Luckily, Grey’s Anatomy is back on ABC at 10 p.m. Eastern Time this coming Thursday, November 14.
