It's Cool Beyoncé's A House Of The Dragon Fan, But I'm More Obsessed With Her Pick For Best Movie This Year

As a long-time fan and admirer of Beyoncé, I must say that her recent revelations about her entertainment preferences have left me both awestruck and amused. It is truly remarkable to learn that someone as iconic and seemingly untouchable as Queen B enjoys the same TV shows and movies as the rest of us mere mortals.

It’s quite surprising to learn that Beyoncé, a renowned pop star, has shared insights on the upcoming movies and TV series of 2024. As she discussed her own film “Cowboy Carter”, she also revealed some of her entertainment preferences this year. Interestingly enough, she’s been watching “House of the Dragon” like many others, but what has really captured my attention is her declaration that “Inside Out 2” is her favorite movie of the year.

In a recent email interview with GQ, Beyoncé discussed what’s currently inspiring her in both music and movies. She praised several emerging female artists like Raye, Chloe x Halle, and Reneé Rapp. However, she also shared that she appreciates the classics, which led to discussing her favorite watches of the year.

Truth be told, I mostly immerse myself in timeless tunes, such as Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, and music from Stax Records artists. Incredible documentary I recently watched! Definitely worth a look. The best film I’ve seen this year has to be Inside Out 2 – simply amazing! At present, I’m enjoying House of the Dragon and The Chi.

Although there’s much to discuss in what you’ve shared, my focus is particularly drawn to the intriguing details that Beyoncé enjoys watching House of the Dragon and has fondness for Inside Out 2. Let’s delve deeper into those aspects.

I Love That Beyoncé Is Watching House Of The Dragon

Similar to numerous others, Beyoncé has been captivated by the series House of the Dragon, a spectacle that places both Beyoncé and Rhaenyra Targaryen at the summit of my list when discussing powerful queens.

Curious to find out what her thoughts are about the “Game of Thrones” reference in the Season 2 finale of House of the Dragon, I can’t help but ask if she shared the same level of frustration as many viewers (including myself) did regarding the way the latest season concluded.

Am I just as excited for Season 3 of “House of the Dragon” as you? To be honest, I hadn’t given it much thought until this moment. Yet, there’s a certain thrill in knowing that Beyoncé is amongst the many fans tuning in to the series. And her pick for favorite movie of the year only adds fuel to the fire, making our shared love for great entertainment even more palpable.

However, I’m Obsessed With The Fact That She Loves Inside Out 2

Doing a tonal 180 here, Beyoncé’s favorite movie of the year so far is Inside Out 2.

It’s quite possible you’re aware, but just in case: The sequel to “Inside Out”, titled “Inside Out 2”, received fantastic critiques and raked in an impressive $1.6 billion globally at the box office. A multitude of people flocked to cinemas to revisit Riley and her emotions on the grand screen, and many were profoundly affected by it. It seems that even the “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer was touched by it as well.

As a devoted fan, I can easily envision Blue Ivy and her twins, Rumi and Sir, huddled together, enjoying the magic of “Inside Out 2” as a family. It’s such a heartwarming scene that leaves me pondering if she shed tears over it. Did she perhaps feel a shared cringe like I did at certain moments? These thoughts only fuel my fascination with her undeniable love for the film, “Inside Out 2.

In my head, Beyoncé is placed on such a lofty platform that it seems unlikely she engages in everyday activities like us. Yet, catching a glimpse of her favorite shows this year, I was reminded that even she shares common interests, and I’m delighted to learn she’s a fan of series like “House of the Dragon” and “Inside Out 2”.

If you are looking to watch the two projects we talked about here that Beyoncé called out, you can stream Seasons 1 and 2 of House of the Dragon with a Max subscription now and Inside Out 2 with a Disney+ subscription starting September 25.
