Among the top Netflix series worth binge-watching, “Bridgerton” certainly takes the lead. Having a cast that has been working together for quite some time now, I’ve often pondered about their experiences growing up on the set of such a massive show. Thanks to Florence Hunt, who portrays Hyacinth Bridgerton, I finally get a glimpse into that world.

At SXSW 2025, I had a conversation with the actress regarding her latest series titled ‘Mix Tape’. Despite my eagerness to discuss her new project, I couldn’t resist asking about her role in ‘Bridgerton’, and what it felt like being the youngest Bridgerton sibling. Over the years, working alongside the same cast members has likely felt akin to reconnecting with family. Delightfully, Hunt was more than willing to reminisce on these shared experiences, affirming that their bond was indeed strong: one hundred percent genuine.

Completely, I’ve known them for seven years now, since I was 11. It’s been a significant part of my life, accounting for more than half, as it’s been the majority of my life that I’ve spent with them. Everyone on set is genuinely kind, unique, and caring. They’ve been incredibly supportive, and we’ve shared some incredible moments while filming. I’m deeply grateful to have the opportunity to return, spend time with everyone, and be around such special people.

As a devoted movie enthusiast, I must confess that over the past seven years, only three seasons of my beloved Netflix series have graced our screens. Yet, I understand the intricacies involved in filming such an elaborate show, and it’s heartening to hear Hunt express her gratitude for the team she gets to work with again.

Indeed, the upcoming Season 4 of Bridgerton is officially happening! Not only that, but production has already started rolling, with over half of it already in the bag.

While it’s exciting to speculate, it’s important to note that Hyacinth might not be the central focus in the upcoming season as he is still quite young in the series. Instead, Season 4 is expected to delve into Benedict’s love story. Previous seasons have offered captivating moments, such as the blossoming romance between Colin and Penelopa and even the surprising growth of Cressida’s character. Now, we eagerly anticipate unraveling more of the Bridgerton family’s compelling tales.

Every new season brings a fresh romance tale, therefore, it’s possible that in the upcoming years, Hunt might become the main character for Hyacinth’s premiere. However, given Netflix’s pace of releasing shows, this seems unlikely to happen anytime soon.

Regardless, Hunt’s current interest lies in the 1980s rock and roll scene, as evidenced by the recent release of Mix Tape. The series revolves around the enduring bond between two music enthusiasts, who reconnect after many years due to their shared love for tunes.

The series hasn’t found a U.S. broadcast yet, but it offers Florence Pugh an opportunity to excel in a role unlike her usual ones. However, I have no doubt that we’ll see Pugh back in the regency era again soon, alongside her co-stars – though not on Netflix’s 2025 lineup, that much is certain.
