I’ve Been Eagerly Awaiting The Last Of Us Season 2, And And Zayn Malik’s Clicker-Themed Birthday Cake Is Giving Me The Energy I Need

I’m eagerly counting down the days for several upcoming shows airing in 2025, but what I’ve been especially looking forward to is the second season of “The Last of Us” on HBO, which promises to deliver chills and emotional turmoil this coming spring. Although I know the episodes are just around the corner, the anticipation still feels heavy. However, a little boost came my way when singer Zayn Malik shared pictures of his Clicker-themed birthday cake.

Zayn Malik turned 32 this past Sunday, January 12, and the singer celebrated with what may be the creepiest and coolest cake I’ve ever seen. The entertainer took to his Instagram story to share photos of a specially designed pastry that depicts one of the infamous fungal zombies from Naughty Dog’s media franchise. The likeness is absolutely stunning, and you really have to see it for yourself to believe it. Check it out:

In my opinion, that cake appears incredibly delicious, almost too good to be true. However, let me emphasize, the skill and attention to detail put into making this dessert is simply remarkable. The likeness of The Clicker’s head is spot-on, and I must admit, the realism of the teeth is astounding. It seems like the “Pillowtalk” artist himself appreciates his birthday treat, judging by his satisfied expression. For a closer look at the cake he claims as the best he’s ever had in his 32 years, check out the image below:

In a game like The Last of Us or while watching the popular HBO series, Clickers can certainly instill a lot of fear. But if you’re a fan like me, even the appearance of one of these gruesome creatures is thrilling. Granted, this particular representation is made from edible and sweet materials. Yet, seeing an actual – or should I say fictional – Clicker dash across your screen is still something that gets the heart racing with anticipation.

More on The Last of Us

Upon Witnessing Every Piece of the Freshly Unveiled Last of Us Season 2 Footage, Five Subtle Points Lead Me to Believe That Joel’s Fate is Sealed.

Two years back, when I first watched the trailer for The Last of Us Season 1, I was captivated by what it hinted at. The eerie sound of the Clickers, which had been chilling in the earlier promo, was particularly intriguing. However, seeing them come to life in a real-life production, after having seen them only in video games for so long, was even more exhilarating. This sentiment seems to be shared by the cast members, as Tess actress Anna Torv discussed filming the scenes involving infected characters with TopMob. Personally, I find it fascinating to observe how these creatures have evolved over time.

If you can’t wait for these terrifying creatures to return in action, mark your calendars as there are only a few months remaining until their return. The upcoming season 2 of TLoU has given us glimpses of the chaos that the beasts will cause. Beyond the beasts, there are numerous other aspects to look forward to, such as the progression of Joel and Ellie’s stories. Among these developments is the arrival of Abby Anderson, a character who has sparked much discussion and is known for being potentially more devastating than any fungal zombie.

I’ll be eagerly anticipating the unfolding of the new episodes inspired by “The Last of Us Part II”. In the meantime, I wish Zayn Malik a belated happy birthday and express my admiration for his fantastic cake. (I can only hope that when he took his first bite, the cake didn’t turn out to be tricky.)

Looking forward to The Last of Us Season 2? Catch it on HBO starting April 2023! Until then, don’t miss out – stream the first season with a Max subscription instead!
