Although Epic Universe at Universal Orlando doesn’t officially launch until May 22nd, a theme park truly comes alive when visitors start exploring it and any initial issues have been addressed. Our very own Dirk Libbey has had the privilege of previewing some wonderful experiences at this new park, and he found them captivating. In fact, sneak peeks of some adorable attractions are already being shared on platforms like TikTok. Now let’s talk about Super Nintendo World!

This incident is so adorable that it’s not surprising others felt compelled to share their feelings about it. At the time of this post, the clip has garnered over 1.6 million views, and many comments echo the emotions I experienced when this heartwarming video tugged at mine.

For years, dancing characters have been a significant aspect of the Universal parks. I’ve even had the pleasure of dancing with Minions myself! I’ve grooved to pop music alongside the cast of Sing, and Reese Witherspoon has too, in cinemas. I’ve even watched Seuss characters showing off their dance moves (quite impressive). Now you suggest that I could dance with Toad? That would be a remarkable twist to my experiences!
It seems that Toad has been causing a stir at Universal Studios Hollywood for some time now (since they opened Super Nintendo World in 2023 to positive feedback), but unfortunately, I haven’t been to California in a couple of years, so I didn’t get to witness it firsthand. There are other TikTok videos showing Toad growing tired of dancing, suggesting that your experience might differ based on when you visit and the specific circumstances.

If you’re suggesting it might be possible, then count me in for making an effort to observe Toad actively at Epic Universe.
In Super Nintendo World, you’ll have the chance to personally greet Toad at the “Say Hello to Mario and Friends” interaction, and you’ll also find him in various merchandise around the park. I’ve heard that Princess Peach has her own gazebo for fan interactions, while Mario, Luigi, and Donkey Kong are often spotted on a central platform within the land – Toad is known to hang out there too! Keep in mind that things might shift as the park officially opens, but we’re excited to be part of this journey every step of the way.
