I’ve Been Wondering If One Specific Yellowstone Character Would Be Involved In The Rip And Beth Spinoff, And Their Latest Post Gives Me Hope

Ever since I learned that Rip and Beth were getting a spinoff after the Season 5 finale of Yellowstone, my curiosity has been piqued about which other characters might appear in their show. Two names that have crossed my mind are Carter and Lloyd, as they seem to be the most connected to this couple spearheading the project. So, you can only imagine the surge of excitement I felt when Forrie J. Smith, the actor who plays Lloyd on Yellowstone, shared some insights about the series’ future!

Taking to Instagram to reflect on the New Year and the loss of his friend and legendary barrel racer Sammy Thurman Brackenbury, Forrie J. Smith posted a simple video of him talking to the camera while wearing a Yellowstone-branded vest. At the very end, he also plugged the show he’s been on for years and hinted at its future. Without giving anything away, the Lloyd actor said:

Hey Yellowstone enthusiasts, let’s stick together, a tribute to Cody Ross, and secondly, Taylor Sheridan hinted that it’s not finished yet.

To clarify, according to Smith’s TikTok post, Ring was known as the “leader of Yellowstone enthusiasts” and had a strong affection for the series. Later, he expressed his thoughts about Taylor Sheridan, the show’s creator. He suggested that spectators should not consider this tale concluded just yet, which makes me hopeful that Lloyd might make a return as well.

Cole Hauser hinted at Rip’s future when he mentioned, “It’s my hope we can keep gracing people’s homes.” He also suggested that we should stay tuned for developments “in the coming year or so.” As of now, there’s no official confirmation from Paramount about a spinoff featuring the popular Yellowstone duo, Rip and Beth. However, rumors circulate that both Cole Hauser and Kelly Reilly have agreed to reprise their roles in potential upcoming projects.

You can watch “Yellowstone” and its related series, along with Taylor Sheridan’s other shows, by subscribing to Peacock, while also gaining access to stream it on Paramount+ with a separate subscription.

It appears that the creators haven’t wrapped up the Yellowstone characters yet, and it looks like Forrie J. Smith agrees.

Speaking from a place of admiration for Taylor Sheridan’s work, his recent statements hint that we haven’t seen the last of Lloyd. After all, as the saying goes, “It ain’t over until it’s over.” Given this perspective, I can’t help but believe that the Rip and Beth spinoff could provide an ideal platform for Lloyd’s potential return, keeping the Yellowstone universe alive and intriguing.

Currently, there are several new shows featuring Yellowstone that are about to be released. Among them are The Madison, 6666, and the Rip and Beth series. It’s plausible that Lloyd could feature in any of these shows. Nevertheless, it seems most likely that he’ll join forces with Hauser and Reilly on their show.

At the end of Season 5, it was evident to me when Rip provided the ranch hand a room and job at his upcoming ranch in Dillon. It was unmistakable that among all cowboys working for the Duttons, only Carter, who could be considered his son, and Lloyd, his closest friend, would accompany him after they parted ways.

It feels fitting for Lloyd to stay with Rip, and I truly hope he does. Their friendship is strong, they’ve stood by each other through numerous challenges, and it would be delightful to see another link connecting Rip and Beth’s future tale to Yellowstone.

As a devoted fan, I can only wait and see what’s in store for “Yellowstone” and its spinoffs. Taylor Sheridan hinted that Kevin Costner (Smith) might not have hung up his cowboy boots just yet, which means there’s a chance Rip and Beth will be back with him in their upcoming series!
