As a seasoned gamer with a heart for martial arts films, I can’t help but feel like I’ve been thrown into another round of Street Fighter II! The new Karate Kid: Legends is shaping up to be an exciting addition to the franchise, and it seems that Sony Pictures has truly outdone themselves this time.
A fresh face takes over as The Karate Kid, and Mr. Miyagi is all set to train him rigorously. Sony Pictures has unveiled the official trailer for “Karate Kid: Legends“, marking a brand new chapter in the martial arts series.
Starting in the spring, the film will feature Ralph Macchio reprising his role from the original 1984 “Karate Kid” movie where he played Daniel LaRusso. Joining him is Jackie Chan, who portrayed Mr. Han in the 2010 remake featuring Jaden Smith. The upcoming film also stars Ben Wang, known for “American Born Chinese,” as Li Fong, the newest martial arts protégé to both Daniel and Mr. Han.
