In a recent chat with Harper’s Bazaar, Jacqueline Fernandez was asked about her thoughts on gender balance within the industry, given that she has collaborated with many prominent male actors such as Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Emraan Hashmi, John Abraham, and others.

In her statement, the actress known for Welcome To The Jungle expressed gratitude for the current presence of powerful female characters on screen, but emphasized that there’s still room for growth. She also highlighted the need for more films with women at the forefront, suggesting that women in directing and producing roles should be given more opportunities to lead the way.

She added that she’s thrilled at the prospect of encountering more stories centered around women, along with strong female characters. In her words, “I’m part of the movement that sees change taking place.”

During our conversation, we delved into what remained constant for the actress from her early days in Aladdin (2009) up until her recent role in Welcome to the Jungle (2024). In response, she pointed out that it was her dedicated approach to training that had stayed consistent throughout this time.

Jackie shares her daily routine, which has been consistent since day one – waking up between 5:30 and 6:00 a.m. for training, yoga, and gym workouts. She also disclosed that she dedicates several hours to refining and perfecting choreography. Moreover, the 39-year-old actress openly admitted that she experiences nervousness before every performance on stage.

She mentioned that she still collaborates with speech coaches while working on films. Her main team, who have been by her side since she started in the industry, remain unchanged and have stayed with her throughout her career.

Regarding her professional endeavors, Jacqueline boasts a thrilling roster of upcoming projects. You’ll find her starring in the film “Fateh,” which is helmed and spearheaded by Sonu Sood.

Furthermore, she’s working on the upcoming Ahmed Khan production titled “Welcome To The Jungle” as well. This highly anticipated third installment of the Welcome series boasts an impressive cast including Akshay Kumar, Shreyas Talpade, Arshad Warsi, Disha Patani, Paresh Rawal, Suniel Shetty, Johnny Lever, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Rajpal Yadav, and many more. The film is scheduled for release on Christmas 2024.
