Jacqueline Fernandez to give IPL 2025 performance a miss as her mother Kim Fernandez remains in the ICU

On Monday, it was announced that Jacqueline Fernandez‘s mother, Kim Fernandez, had been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and was hospitalized. Shortly afterward, as the actress got word of her mother’s health status, she returned to the city to be by her side. Now, it seems that her mother is making progress in the ICU, but due to this situation, Jacqueline has decided to cancel her performance at the IPL (Indian Premier League).

According to a statement released by Jacqueline Fernandez’s team, her mother remains in intensive care. At this time, we are yet to receive any updates about her condition. However, moved by the situation, the actress has chosen to stay with her mother and unfortunately will not be able to perform at her IPL ceremony.

Jacqueline’s mom is currently in the ICU, healing. The family is waiting for updates from the doctors. In these tough circumstances, Jacqueline has decided to stay with her mother. Consequently, she won’t be able to perform at the IPL Ceremony, as stated by a source close to the actress.

For those not familiar, Jacqueline was set to perform during the IPL game between Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders in Guwahati on March 26, 2025. But due to her mother’s health concerns, she has decided to cancel her appearance instead.

Instead, it’s worth mentioning that Times Now verified the news about Fernandez’s mother on March 24, 2025. It came out that due to this personal matter, the actress has paused her professional engagements to be with her family. Notably, Salman Khan, a well-known actor from Sikandar, who enjoys a close relationship with Fernandez, was spotted visiting the hospital to get updates on Kim’s condition and offer his assistance.

Regarding Jacqueline’s professional endeavors, she recently appeared in Sonu Sood’s first directorial effort, titled Fateh. This movie delves into the sinister aspects of cybercrime and boasts performances by Naseeruddin Shah and Vijay Raaz in significant roles.

Moving forward, she will appear next in Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 5. This upcoming comedy-adventure is helmed by Tarun Mansukhani and features a star-studded cast including Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Dino Morea, Nargis Fakhri, among others.
