The highly awaited movie, “Avatar: Fire and Ash“, is undeniably one of the most exciting blockbusters this year. Despite some criticism towards the franchise, James Cameron silenced the skeptics with an outstanding sequel, “Avatar: The Way of Water“, which almost matched the box office success of its predecessor, but fell just short. Although “The Way of Water” was a rollercoaster of emotions, it appears that “Fire and Ash” is taking things to a new level, judging by the reactions to the upcoming film.
In a chat with Empire Magazine in late 2024, James Cameron shared that he had previously screened the completed version of ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ for his wife, Suzy Amis Cameron. Remarkably, Suzy didn’t get a sneak peek at the work-in-progress film, but rather held off until it was fully made to watch the Avatar sequel. According to James, her response was hard to decipher due to the profusion of tears she shed.
On December 22nd, my wife watched the entire event from start to finish. She hadn’t been involved earlier and I hadn’t shared parts of it with her as they happened. When it ended, she cried for four hours straight. She attempted to gather herself so she could share detailed reactions, but would soon become emotional again and start crying. Eventually, I said, ‘Darling, I need to go to bed. We can discuss it later’.
More to come.
