However, one of the CEOs overseeing Warner Bros.’s DC productions has advised fans not to hold their breath for a frosty villain gracing Gotham anytime soon. Gunn, one half of the CEO team, expressed on Threads that while it’s not a terrible concept, he wouldn’t rule it out completely, but there’s absolutely no truth to it at present.

What New Projects Have Been Confirmed for the DCU?
It’s been quite some time since James Gunn unveiled the lineup of shows and movies for DCU’s “Chapter 1: Gods & Monsters”. Back then, he mentioned that there were still other projects in the pipeline. More recently, some of these additional projects have been verified, with hints of even more to come.
Earlier in the year, it was revealed that a live-action Teen Titans film is set to start production soon, with Ana Nogueira, who wrote Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, penning the movie. There’s no word yet on how this project will fit into the broader DCU, but it’s part of several strategic moves being made by Gunn and Safran to prevent the same fragmented outcome that affected the previous DC universe.
A surprising new entry to the series is an upcoming Bane and Deathstroke film, a development that many didn’t anticipate. This picture is rumored to focus on these two famous Batman adversaries in their own standalone production, providing them with another opportunity for redemption following past mistakes. Initially introduced in Batman & Robin, Bane gained more popularity when portrayed by Tom Hardy in Christopher Nolan’s final installment, The Dark Knight Rises. Deathstroke was last seen being played by Joe Manganiello in Zack Snyder’s extended cut of Justice League, where the narrative hinted at a potential solo film for this villain against Batman – portrayed by Ben Affleck – in another timeline.
