Schoenbrun expressed, “I create movies that I would have loved as a child.” He described “Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma” as his effort to create the ultimate ‘sleepover classic’: a wild yet comforting midnight journey that invites viewers from the horror section of their local video store. He’s thrilled about spending this summer at sleepaway camp alongside the madly creative Hannah Einbinder, the legendary Gillian Anderson, and the bold team at Mubi and Plan B, who by giving the green light to this movie have brought a torrential downpour of blood, gore, and assorted liquids upon us all.
