Janhvi Kapoor is gearing up for her first appearance at the 78th Cannes Film Festival, an exciting milestone in her career. She’s been sharing this journey with her followers via social media updates. Ahead of walking the red carpet, she shared a couple of charming photos showing off her unique pajamas emblazoned with the title of her movie, Homebound.

On May 20th, Janhvi Kapoor shared adorable photos on her Instagram stories, dressed in a yellow nightgown. The design on the front featured her initials ‘JK’ at the top right corner. Showing off a fun and relaxed demeanor, the actress struck a pouty pose and positioned her eye mask just above her eyes.

Afterward, another photo was taken with Janhvi positioned facing away from the camera, seated by a window. On the back of her pajamas, the words “Homebound Cannes 2025” were visible. Notably, the actress, famously known as Param Sundari, didn’t include any accompanying message, as the photos themselves effectively conveyed her enthusiasm.

Earlier in the morning, she shared a photo of her stack of pancakes, complete with a fork and knife. The caption read: “Countdown to Cannes: 1 Day Left!” Accompanied by a drizzle of chocolate sauce.

Regarding the movie “Homebound,” the one that Janhvi is presently showcasing at Cannes, it’s directed by Neeraj Ghaywan. Notably, this director has returned to Cannes after a decade since his first film, “Masaan,” made its debut here.

Homebound stars Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa in leading roles. This production is a collaboration between Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra. Marijke deSouza and Melita Toscan Du Plantier serve as co-producers, while Martin Scorsese, a renowned filmmaker from Hollywood, takes on the role of executive producer.

Apart from Janhvi, the whole Homebound crew has been regularly posting photos to ignite enthusiasm among followers. This captivating movie is set to be screened at the Cannes Film Festival 2025 in the Un Certain Regard section on May 21, 2025.

In their professional roles, Janhvi and Sidharth Malhotra will be appearing together in the film titled Param Sundari. This romantic tale, which explores cultural differences, is helmed by Tushar Jalota and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films. The movie is scheduled to hit theaters on July 25, 2025.
