Jason Momoa Caught Fighting Milly Alcock in First Look at Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow Set

Fans have been afforded a fleeting, somewhat blurry glimpse at Milly Alcock in her costume as Lobo, on the set of the series, through a video taken during filming.

As a movie enthusiast, I can confidently say that the footage I’ve just seen appears to be genuine, despite being taken from afar. It’s far more authentic than those questionable images circulating online recently. The video depicts none other than our beloved Aquaman actor himself, decked out in a new character’s attire, engaging in what seems to be a heated altercation with another character who remains mostly off-screen.

Clearly, fans will have to be patient a bit longer to catch their first authentic sneak peek of Momoa embodying the character he has often expressed his strong affinity for, and feels destined to portray – more so than his roles as Aquaman across the DCEU. However, this role is already generating a hint of excitement among those anticipating the Main Man’s cinematic debut in 2026.

Under the leadership of James Gunn and Peter Safran, the live-action division of DCU will launch this summer with Superman, sparking great anticipation. While Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is slated for release in June 2026, the film’s production, which is already underway, and the location of its shooting have been revealed, generating excitement similar to that surrounding Deadpool & Wolverine a few years ago.

Jason Momoa Has Teased His Lobo Role for Years

Unlike some casting announcements that take fans by surprise, the news about Jason Momoa playing Lobo in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is as unexpected as John Lithgow being cast as Dumbledore when it’s officially confirmed. Not long after Gunn joined DC Studios as co-CEO, Momoa hinted at the “role he was meant for” multiple times.

In an interview with ScreenRant for the upcoming Minecraft film, Momoa assured fans that they won’t be disappointed by the authentic portrayal of Lobo when he appears on screen next year. Emphasizing that “this is the part I’ve long dreamed of playing,” Momoa reiterated his excitement for the role.

1. “I adore that comic, and I’m quite anxious about it. It seems almost inevitable for me to portray this character. The role is significant.”

2. “That comic is my favorite, which makes me very apprehensive. Playing this character feels like a given. This part carries some weight.”

3. “I’m really into that comic, and I’m feeling quite anxious about it. It’s hard to resist taking on this character. The role has some heft to it.”

4. “I cherish that comic, which has me feeling a bit nervous. It feels like destiny to embody this character. This part carries considerable importance.”

5. “That comic means a lot to me, and I’m quite apprehensive about it. Assuming the role of this character seems inevitable. The part holds some weight.”

Despite the fact that the previous Aquaman actor has stated he won’t reveal any secrets, he hinted that viewers will be thrilled when they witness his appearance in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.

As a film enthusiast, let me tell you, the resemblance between us and that iconic character is uncanny. He’s known for his rugged demeanor and we’ve definitely nailed that aspect. And oh, the motorcycle! Simply put, it’s a beauty.
