As a die-hard basketball fan with over three decades of sneakerhead experience under my belt, I can’t help but get excited about the latest addition to the Jordan Brand family – the Jayson Tatum 3. Having witnessed the evolution of Michael Jordan’s signature line and countless other iconic kicks throughout the years, I have high expectations for this young talent’s third signature shoe.
At this year’s Olympic Games in Paris, Team USA, led by LeBron James, has been a formidable team to contend with. As they gear up for their semifinal match against Nikola Jokić and Team Serbia tomorrow, there’s been a buzz about Jayson Tatum’s performance against Brazil. However, it’s not his 5-point score that’s sparking conversation, but the unveiling of his third signature shoe with Jordan Brand, rumored to be called the Jordan Tatum 3, that has sneaker enthusiasts talking.
Yesterday during his game, we saw an update to the Jordan Tatum 3 – its previous version has been redesigned with a new upper featuring wavy overlays all over. The color scheme for this first release mainly consists of black, with white added to create contrast along the shoe’s lines and laces. Red accents can be found on the forefoot and tongue.
As I write this, neither Jayson Tatum nor Jordan Brand has provided a release date for the Jordan Tatum 3. Given that the Jordan Tatum 2 wasn’t available until March, it seems probable that we won’t see the Tatum 3 until deep into the upcoming NBA season. Keep an eye out for future updates, including detailed insights about the shoe and its features, as we anticipate the sneaker to make its debut on platforms like Nike SNKRS and various retailers around the $125 USD price mark, approximately in early 2025.
