Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson’s ‘Die My Love’ Sells to Mubi for North America, U.K., Latin America

In a significant move during this year’s Cannes Film Festival, art house distributor and streaming platform Mubi has secured the distribution rights for Lynne Ramsay’s film “Die My Love,” starring Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson, in North America and several other territories, marking one of the first major deals at this year’s event.

In addition to these regions, we encompass the United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Belgium-Netherlands (Benelux), Latin America, India, Turkey, Australia, Germany, and Austria in our territories.

Or simply:

Our territories extend to cover the U.K., Ireland, Italy, Spain, Benelux, Latin America, India, Turkey, Australia, Germany, and Austria.

Both sentences convey the same information but are slightly rephrased for variety and readability.

It is understood that the deal has a $20 million-plus price tag.

The film had its grand debut at Cannes during the weekend night, subsequently hosting a glamorous red carpet event with numerous celebrities.

The movie, based on Ariana Harwicz’s 2017 novel with the same title (but set in Montana instead of France), was jointly written and directed by renowned art-house filmmaker Ramsay, who also co-produced it. This production features an Oscar-winning actress, Lawrence, delivering one of her most challenging performances in recent years.

In a unique, two-hour movie production, Lawrence portrays a fresh mother grappling with postpartum depression and episodes of psychosis. Pattinson takes on the role as her husband, while Sissy Spacek, an Academy Award winner, and Nick Nolte, an Oscar nominee, play their respective parents. Additionally, LaKeith Stanfield, another Oscar-nominated actor, is part of the star-studded cast.

The review by THR described the film as a “deep exploration of a challenging relationship, requiring both patience and empathy” and “a demanding viewing experience that ultimately proves rewarding.”
