- Jenny LeClue is out now on the iOS App Store
- A former Apple Arcade-exclusive, it proved to be a Kickstarter darling with a successful funding campaign
- Hopefully we’ll see this intriguing detective game also hit other storefronts too
As a long-time Android gamer who’s been missing out on the exclusive delights of Apple Arcade, I can’t help but feel like a kid in a candy store with Jenny LeClue now available on iOS! Remembering its successful Kickstarter campaign back in 2019 and its subsequent journey to Apple Arcade, this intriguing detective game has always been on my radar.
The offbeat detective game, Jenny LeClue – Detectivu, is now accessible on the iOS App Store. You might recall this popular Kickstarter project when it transitioned to Apple Arcade following a triumphant fundraising campaign in 2019. Nevertheless, it appears the game will be offered beyond Apple’s subscription service now that it has been removed from it.
Although a teen detective solving mysteries might seem adorable and juvenile at first glance, Jenny LeClue is far from that image. The game’s somber ambiance, interactive storyline where your decisions matter, or perhaps the complex plot of Jenny trying to clear her mother’s name for murder, sets it apart from the typical Nancy Drew mysteries.
Nevertheless, it’s evident why Jenny LeClue amassed such a devoted fanbase. Its unique features, such as exploring the environment during dialogues with other characters for hidden clues that can influence the conversation, and the metanarrative, where this story is within a story narrated by author Arthur K Finklestein, make Jenny LeClue captivating and engaging.

I’ve always been a bit mixed on the Apple Arcade service, mainly because I’m an Android gamer. You see all sorts of great titles that, on one hand, have sure success by being featured on Apple Arcade, but are also made unavailable to the wider gaming audience because of it.
I’m optimistic that Jenny Leclue will appear on additional mobile devices soon, given its ability to capture people’s interest.
