The emotional drama titled “Dreams,” directed by Michel Franco and starring Jessica Chastain and Isaac Hernández, has secured distribution agreements in various parts of the world. The Match Factory has acquired the rights for most of Europe, the Middle East, and certain Asian territories.
The play, debuted in competition at the Berlin film festival in February, features Hernández as Fernando, a Mexican ballet dancer yearning for worldwide acclaim. Assuming Jennifer (Chastain), a wealthy philanthropist, would aid his dreams, he abandons his past – narrowly avoiding a tragic fate. However, his arrival disrupts Jennifer’s meticulously managed life, igniting a series of events that question their future stability. The film was highly praised at the festival, with David Rooney from The Hollywood Reporter, the chief reviewer, describing it as a “tension-filled love story that ingeniously alters the power dynamic.
In the lineup of deals sealed by Match Factory for the feature, there are partnerships with Metropolitan Filmexport for France, Weltkino Filmverleih for Germany and Austria, Fandango for Italy, Sideral for Spain, and Lucky Dogs for Scandinavia. Best Film will manage the release in Poland, Paradiso in Benelux, and ACME Film in the Baltics. Other agreements include Films 4 You (Portugal), Spentzos Film (Greece), Ascot Elite (Switzerland), Aerofilms (Czech Republic & Slovakia), Transilvania Film (Romania), ADS (Hungary), MCF MegaCom (Ex-Yugoslavia), Bir Film (Turkey), Front Row (MENA), NK Contents (South Korea), and Andrews Film (Taiwan). However, Dreams is yet to secure a U.S. distributor.

Jessica Chastain and Kelly Carmichael serve as executive producers from Freckle Films, while Vladimir Artemenko represents Eastern Film, and Alexander Rodnyansky is involved on behalf of AR Content.
