This weekend marks the premiere of “The King of Kings” by Angel Studios, a captivating animation based on the most renowned tale in history. It’s been garnering quite the audience interest already.

Based on reports from the studio, the movie has already garnered over $14.6 million in advance ticket sales. This weekend, it will be screened on more than 3,200 locations, increasing its chances of earning significantly more from a broader audience.

Drawing inspiration from Charles Dickens’ works, this movie narrates the tale of a father and his son, who venture into a creative exploration of the life of Jesus. The narrative offers a contemporary and compassionate perspective on the most renowned story in history.

Under the guidance of director Seong-Ho Jang, this movie boasts an illustrious ensemble – Kenneth Branagh portrays Charles Dickens, Uma Thurman takes on Catherine Dickens, Pierce Brosnan dons the role of Pontius Pilate, Forest Whitaker plays Peter, Ben Kingsley brings High Priest Caiaphas to life, and Oscar Isaac embodies Jesus Christ.
