Jinger Duggar Vuolo Admits She Can’t Remember All The Names Of Her Siblings’ Kids, And It’s One Side Effect Of Growing Up In A Giant Family I Hadn’t Considered

Before TLC canceled “19 Kids and Counting,” it was challenging for fans to follow all the children of Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar as they grew over the years, with some names like Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Josh (who is now incarcerated), and Jana being more well-known, while keeping track of the younger ones like Josie and Jordyn. Now, with grandchildren appearing, it’s middle sister Jinger Duggar Vuolo who seems to be finding it particularly tough to adapt.

There Are A Lot More Than 19 Kids And Counting Now

Jinger Duggar has been providing insider insights into her life growing up as a Duggar on her YouTube channel, especially since stepping away from the reality TV scene. Although she’s previously acknowledged that discussing her famous family could be challenging and intimidating, she tackled this during a recent Q&A with sister Joy-Anna Duggar Forsyth and spoke candidly about how their family dynamics have evolved over the years following the end of Counting On and her transition into new endeavors.

They discussed the challenge of finding time to bond when you have numerous siblings, several of whom are married with children. When Joy-Anna brought up the 39 grandchildren currently active, Jinger confessed that it can be difficult to recall names, let alone specifics.

You mentioned that you have 39 grandchildren. It’s challenging for me to recall all their names since there are so many. I’ve managed to remember most of them, but there are a few that still elude me, especially the newer ones as they keep adding more to the family over time.

Currently, Joy-Anna and Jinger are residing temporarily in California instead of their usual family home. Since both Joy-Anna and her spouse, as well as Jinger and Jeremy, call California home since 2019, they are geographically closer than usual. This proximity might have facilitated the interview that took place.

Why Jinger Feels So Much ‘Pressure’ With The Big Duggar Family

It’s apparent that the two siblings are trying to carve out a little extra time for each other and contemplate their family relationships. However, during their Q&A session, Jinger emphasized the value of such family moments, stating they are truly precious.

It seems to me that I’m experiencing this self-imposed pressure because when I return, I often find myself feeling remorseful for not having connected with people as much as I would have liked. This realization is accompanied by an understanding that while we use Facetime, I don’t regularly check in with everyone. Instead, I tend to maintain closer contact with my older sisters and James who calls frequently.

Additionally, she confided in Joy-Anna about how chaotic it becomes when she, her spouse, and the children return to Arkansas. She often feels overwhelmed and finds herself struggling to keep up due to her parents still residing there, along with numerous siblings. Moreover, many of these relatives have their own families now, which adds to the multitude of activities and obligations. The state is filled with so much to explore.

She’ll dash from a brunch with one family, straight to an afternoon gathering, followed by another activity, and finally dinner. In essence, she finishes up drained, whether she returns home for just three days or an entire week. To put it simply, full-family get-togethers are infrequent, so she often needs to organize numerous small encounters.

During the Duggar years on TLC, we witnessed many aspects of having a large family, but as their families have grown, it seems the Duggar siblings’ lives have become increasingly complex. To maintain relationships with 19 siblings and remember details about their respective 2, 3, or even 6 children (like Jessa), as she is expecting, is no small feat! It’s a blessing to have so many family members, but it can certainly be overwhelming.
