As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for streetwear and a soft spot for minimalist designs, I can’t help but be intrigued by the JJJJound x adidas Superstar 90 “Made in Japan”. Having grown up in the era of chunky sneakers, it’s refreshing to see a brand stripping down the silhouette and focusing on quality over quantity.
Name: JJJJound x adidas Superstar 90 “Made in Japan”
SKUs: IH8150
MSRP: $250 USD
Release Date: February 1, 2025
Where to Buy: JJJJound
After the launch of Adidas Samba “Tobacco” by JJJJound last June, their Montreal studio has now revealed a brand new “Made in Japan” Superstar 90 model, dressed entirely in black.
Similar to JJJJound’s past adaptations of traditional designs, the Superstar 90 bears a strong resemblance to its original counterpart. Instead of enhancing the shape, JJJJound prefers minimizing it. This is evident in the removal of the logo from the tongue and the absence of the signature Trefoil symbol on the heel tabs. The studio further modifies the golden “Superstar” inscription along the three-stripe overlays, replacing it with “JJJJound.
Apart from the white detailing on the heel patches, laces, and the tan inner lining, the “Made in Japan” Adidas Superstar 90 model sports an entirely black design, encompassing its black Japanese leather upper, shoelaces, and sole.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m excitedly counting down the days until February 1, 2025! That’s when I’ll be able to cop the sleek JJJJound x adidas Superstar 90. You can find these stylish kicks at JJJJound and a few select retailers. Can’t wait!
