Joe Jonas Says He’s “Not Trying to Come for Anyone” With New Album Following Sophie Turner Split

As a devoted fan who has grown alongside Joe Jonas and his music, it’s heartening to witness his personal and artistic evolution. His upcoming album “Music for People Who Believe in Love” is a testament to his resilience, maturity, and the beautiful life he’s built for himself and his family.

Joe Jonas intends to avoid creating any internet-based commotion with his forthcoming album, titled “Music for Those Who Embrace Love“.

In a recent chat with Billboard, the singer shared that he’s not aiming to take on anyone in his upcoming solo album, a project released over a decade since his first solo release, “Fastlife” back in 2011.

Jonas commented about his recent solo work, “At times it was intimidating, yet liberating.” He completed most of it in just over two weeks. “I’m not attempting to challenge others with this album,” he explained. “I’m not intending to expose anyone. I have a wonderful life that I cherish. I’m blessed with two lovely children. I’m content, and the music should reflect that – but also, the path leading up to it.”

Jonas, a member of the Jonas Brothers trio, has experienced numerous transformations in his private sphere over the last year, particularly following his high-profile separation from Sophie Turner, an actress famously known for her role on ‘Game of Thrones’, which occurred in 2023. They are proud parents to two lovely daughters.

“He shared that his life was undergoing numerous transformations, during which he was discovering who he truly was as a person, father, and friend. Simultaneously, he was navigating the scrutiny of the music industry. In such chaotic circumstances, music became a means for him to express himself and cope with life’s challenges.”

Jonas shared with Billboard that the initial version of their new album began with the track “Only Love.” Interestingly, this song was originally developed with his brothers, Nick and Kevin Jonas. However, as the creative process unfolded, Jonas found a deep, personal connection with this specific song.

He mentioned that the tune seemed to delve into personal experiences he had encountered, which resonated with him. So, he approached Kevin and Nick, saying, “Could I utilize this as a springboard to discover where this sound might lead, and also to work through my emotional journey?” They were understanding and encouraging – Nick replied, “Well, that song really speaks to me. However, I understand your intentions, so go ahead and pursue it.”

Music for People Who Believe in Love is set to be released by Republic Records on Oct. 18.

Speaking about his forthcoming album, Jonas expressed, “What truly matters to me is if this collection of songs can assist others in navigating their challenges. That’s the one thing I truly hope for.”
