John Abraham is widely recognized in the Bollywood industry for his physical fitness, strict diet, and muscular body. During filming of Mumbai Saga in 2021, Rohit Roy, a fellow actor on set, disclosed that Abraham refrained from eating while working but made sure everyone else had enough to eat. Additionally, he offered a valuable fitness advice to Rohit, suggesting him to abstain from consuming carbs the day after indulging in large meals to prevent unnecessary weight gain.
In a recent conversation with Cyrus Broacha, Rohit Roy disclosed that John Abraham, renowned for his rigorous workout routine, opted not to eat during filming. However, he made certain that everyone else on set, including his fellow actors and crew members, had enough food. Simultaneously, he advised others to skip carbs the following day to prevent any adverse effects of food on their fitness regimen and training.
He mentioned that on the first day, he didn’t eat anything, and the same pattern continued on the second day. It then struck him that despite feeding us, he wasn’t eating anything himself. Then he would say things like, “Don’t worry my friend, don’t feel guilty, you’ve already eaten so much food. Tomorrow avoid carbohydrates.” This was some sound advice, indicating a concern for our diet.
Roy pointed out that they frequently got takeout from Bayroute, the eatery owned by Shaad Randhawa, particularly during filming in South Mumbai. As a result, everyone relished kebabs, hummus, and various other dishes, with John personally placing the orders.
In a recent reveal, the actor from Pathaan mentioned that Abraham inspired him to stay in shape during filming as he wanted to appear more muscular than John’s physique. This was to avoid any speculation that he had secured the role due to his friendship with Sanjay Gupta. Interestingly, he was taken aback by the fact that the Force actor managed to stick to his workout regimen at home and make it to set on time.
